I placed my husband there in Memory Care. I was there almost every day the first two weeks making sure they were taking basic care of him. From their website and paperwork I filled out, I was under the impression they would take a few days to get to know him, tailor a program for him, but they did not. They did not make sure he brushed his teeth, shaved, etc. which only got worse as time went by. Their website list activities which they have but no much for memory care residents. My husband was left to just wander around or sit and watch TV. I provided his own soap but they used their liquid soap which I believe was contributing to the constant skin problems he was having.
Medications: he was on an antibiotic that was not given as prescribed. They came up with excuses settling on the pharmacy provided too many (have you ever had a pharmacy give you 7 too many? not me). Plus their computer said one thing when reality was another. I removed him after 6 weeks because he started crying all the time. When I counted the days when I took in his new bottle of antidepressant bringing the partially filled old one, I discovered they had missed 5 days of giving it to him. My belief is it was the last few days missed which was causing all the crying, which stopped a couple days after bringing him home when I made sure he got it. I requested a copy of his medical records, which I am entitled to, but they only gave me a copy of the doctors orders, not their records from the computer.
I would not recommend this place. Although the girls did as good a job as they could, I believe they need to have more. Daytime is 3 and then 2 CNA the rest...
Read moreTri city retirement inn is one of the worst places you can put a loved one. They do not follow the clients care plan. They are rude to the clients. They don't assist with the basic care a client needs. I have had to speak to them multiple times about the lack of care and nothing is done to resolve it. Dr. Miller does not do her job to provide medical care to the clients. My family member has had multiple emergency trips to the hospital due to the lack of medical care at this facility. When taking my family member for follow up care and then returning her to the facility all follow up care is ignored by staff. There is so much more I could say but I don't have all...
Read moreThe staff unapoligetically abuse basic human rights of the residents. I live out of state and regurly order groceries to be delivered to my mom. Most recently, her order was left at the desk. Some items were missing. Assuming they werent delivered, i got a refund from the store. I was shocked to discover the staff went through her bags and removed items. One was her cough drops, stating she needs a prescription for plain cough drops. Even if that were tru(never was previously) she should have been present when going through her belongings. At the VERY least, my mom shouldve been shown the courtesy of being told they...
