Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

This is one of the cleanest Waffle House locations I've visited. I went to this location because the one closest to my house was temporarily closed for repairs. That location was hit by an automobile. I've since been to this location a time or two and have been very pleased.

My wife and I sat at the bar area. This enabled me to observe whether staff was sliding around on a greasy floor, how often hands were washed, kitchen cleanliness, appropriate attire and the intereaction of the employees amongst one another and other guests. This location earned 5 stars in all these areas.

I ordered breakfast, as I usually do. My food was hot, very adequate portions and my eggs were cooked to perfection. (This is hard to do for picky egg eaters like me). The coffee was hot and I received refills without asking. My wife was very pleased with her food and service also.

There's no question, we will be visiting this location again in the future.

The cook Thomas was really rude, overcooked our bacon to the point where it was hard and black, and the grill was not cleaned you could taste burnt grill flavor on everything. I also order the Texas Bacon Lover's BLT which comes with 5 slices of Bacon on each sandwich for $5.99 each, Thomas told the Server Morgan to only give me 2 pieces of Bacon per sandwich. Bacon is $1.75 per piece so $3.50, but yet I was to pay $5.99 per sandwich, that's $12.81 for (4) pieces of bacon rather than (10), (2) slices of lettuce, and (2) slices of tomato. To top it all off this man gave me end pieces of bread for my sandwich..... who does that? Thank you for reading this long winded complaint....

Great food and service. Except if you are trying to call in and place a to-go order! They have a terrible habit of turning the ringer off on the phone and leaving it off! So you have to drive there and order in person, and then sit and wait for 20+ minutes for your order to be prepared. This is very inconvenient!!! And if you make the mistake of mentioning it to them, they deny any knowledge of it and play the blame game. If this was a once in a while occurance, it wouldn't be a big deal. But this is the normal way they conduct business. If they would fix this irritating behavior they would be the best Waffle House I've...
