Today I picked up a birthday cake I ordered for my daughter. I ordered it almost 3 weeks ago and told the associate assisting me that I wanted the EXACT same cake that was on display but as a sheet cake, not round like the display shape. The associate must have been new because she went to ask questions from another employee several times but she was friendly and got my order down. When I came in today the cake was a completely different color than what I had ordered. The associate let the bakery manager Lynn know I was displeased and wanted to speak with her. Lynn explained that the "standard" color for this cake is usually a blue with purple tones in it to look like water and that the one on display TODAY was a fluke and isn't normally that beautiful teal color. Well, I had a photo of the one I ordered and it was the exact same color as the "messed " up display cake. She could not offer me a new cake and only had frozen ones. I told her I was paying but definitely contacting the general manager. She then proceeded to give me a "try this on us" coupon which would make this cake free of charge for me. I appreciated the fact that Lynn was attempting to correct the situation and I HATE complaining about things. But I feel it was not my fault that the cake is supposed to be made a blue, purple color but the displays are always a different color....they need to clarify with the customer before we order. The colors for the party were teal, and hot pink. The cake looked nothing like what I had ordered. To be honest though, the cake was moist, delicious, not too sweet, and everyone was happy. I feel bad now for complaining ( I was not rude, disrespectful, etc. Just frustrated) because the cake was so delicious and Lynn was great with how she handled it. I will continue to use their bakery but will make sure to clarify what the cake colors should be...
Read more7/2/23 sunday. They sold me leftover doublecooked crawfish. 40% of whats in the bag are crawfish claws. The crawfish station is getting worse every year. B.B. Texas Orleans can have my business next time!!
5/14/23. Happens to me all the time. Whenever i buy from the sushi section i always include chopsticks with them… whenever i reach my car after checkout and look for it, cant find the chopsticks anywhere. Now i couldnt eat the sushi unless i use my bare hands. Also the cashier didnt scan the coupon i brought along for the hot meal purchase. Whats the point of even bringing the coupon if youre not gonna grant it. The corn from the crawfish booth outside of the store is cheap quality corn. This isnt the kind of corn they use to sell before.
the cashier who served me today 7/4/21. 8:14am. She has that huge frown on her face when i checked out. Looks like she doesnt want to be doing what shes doing. To top it all off, she didnt tell me i cant purchase liquour because it was early. I only knew about this when i got home and didnt find the wine bottle with my groceries. Doesnt she have a mouth? Or does she think i dont understand english thats why she didnt bother to speak! My receipt was torn at the bottom but her name starts with Kr.... Management pls talk to your staff. This is beyond annoying. It’s too early to ruin someone else’s day!
I love the sushi station and the premium meat and seafood.
What disgusts me are the workers at the cold cuts and taco station. They wear gloves handling the food but wear the same gloves touching their mobile phones. They need to be educated about infection control. Mobile devices are one of the most filthiest objects. And im supposed to be eating food that had contact with their...
Read moreSunday August 19th, very highly disappointed. Very Bad customer service. My wife and I were waiting in the Deli line to get some fresh meats. the Gentlemen in front of us said the they were signaling for us to come up to the counter. I came up to the counter and the lady just stood there, did not acknowledge us by asking what we wanted, when I turned to my wife to see what we needed this lady left and went down the counter to another customer in line. When she came back by us she said you wait i will be back, you did not tell me what you wanted. (She did not wait to see what we wanted). Then she added I will be back to you after I finish. Well #1 she should have said what do you need and the other customer will wait because you were first. This lady was rude and not customer friendly. I probably will not shop at the HEB again due to this lady. Now I don't expect to hear from HEB in regards to this either. This is the second complaint I have against HEB the first occurred last month at the HEB on Pearland Parkway where a lady was carrying around a lapdog, no it was not a service animal, this dog and a jeweled collar, painted nails and a bow in its fur. No HEB rep ever talked to her and she passed several, when I inquired about it they said they were not allowed to question people, come on seriously this is a food store not a pet shop. People shop for their food here and don't expect to find dog hair in their groceries. Seems like HEB should be concerned for people with severe allergies and not pets. Again I probably will not be back to HEB. Looks like Krogers has another customer, at least they don't have pets in the store and I have never been treated...
