So this experience did not start so well. I had to return a broken cantilever umbrella. It was still under warranty so I called RTG. They sent someone out within a week to Confirm the broken item and informed me that I would be eligible for a replacement.
However, when I get to the store I find out that the umbrella I had was now discontinued. Which meant to choose a smaller, simpler umbrella or pay more for a larger but similar umbrella. I went with the larger similar and newer cantilever and paid $400 more.
Pick up and delivery were scheduled. But at pickup they did not bring my new umbrella! They picked up the old umbrella and my patio rug (dunno why the rug but the delivery order said 1 was on the way). I thought the rug exchange was a courtesy for all the issues.
The delivery had been scheduled apparently; an oversight of a new employee. I called patio manager Kendall and he rushed the delivery to just a few days. The delivery came as promised….everything but the rug. I called RTG customer service and they said that I was not getting a new rug. They said that credit for the rug had been given and used. I told them I never authorized that. Why would I? I was told how much credit I was receiving for the broken umbrella and so that’s the number I used. And I still ended up buying a more expensive umbrella.
Anyway, after some back and forth. I was finally given credit for the rug. Kendall did a great job of being patient and working to get the situation fixed. I appreciate him going above and beyond to fix the...
Read moreBuyers beware!! I spent over $5000 on wicker furniture from this store last April. I was talked into buying the warranty because I was told that if anything happened to the furniture within a certain period of time, they would send a person out to repair the item and if it isn't repaired they will replace the item. At no time did they ever explain that the warranty covers manufacturer defects ONLY. I hold fault here as well because I should have read the six page service agreement. In May when I uncovered the patio furniture for the season I noticed the wicker unraveling on the furniture. When I uncovered and opened up the $500+ umbrella, one of the arms detached from the base. Fortegra, the warranty company said both items were not manufacturer defects. Rooms to Go customer care said said that because I was one month outside the purchase date, they will not cover it either. Now I have over $5000 worth of furniture in which 90% of the items are damaged. These items were always covered when not in use, which tells me that they were just inferior products. Don't waste you time buying the warranty and don't expect anything other than a bunch of apologies, which did not help with anything. O learned a valuable and expensive lesson, please learn from...
Read moreWhen I arrived at the Pearland Rooms 2 Go Patio Store I was greeted by a young lady she introduced herself with a very unique name. She said her name was Mireya but I can call her Mimi when I was ready. She allowed me the time to look around while she handled another customer on the phone.
Although I had to wait a minute I didn’t mind because I observed while she took care of the person on the phone. I knew once she was done she would give me the same amount of attention and she definitely did. I was able to show her my area where I was needed to put my outdoor set and she placed it in the store to give me a visual of how it would look. She allowed me the opportunity to face time my husband so he could see (she even went a step farther and place the my pillow choose and my cushion choose so he could see what we discussed)
Mimi took her time in my during my transaction and allowed me to change my mind several times on what I wanted to pay for then and what I wanted to finance.
Thank you for having such an awesome employee scheduled on the last day of the month.
I will definitely refer...
