Yummy Pho & Bo Ne — Restaurant in Pearland

1st and last time here.. food is mediocre basic pho restaurant nothing special. Besides the 60 mins pho 🤣🤣.

This place was highly recommended by a friend and we were super excited to try. We had a party of 7 (4 adults, 2 kids, & an 8 month old). When we arrived seem like the lunch crowd was just leaving. As we were seated we ordered right away since we already knew what we wanted to try.

Our order: 1 order of fried eggrolls & spring rolls 1 kid pho ( no meat) 1 Bo Ne 3 Pho Yummy (came w/huge beef bone) 1 Special Pho (BASIC pho Dac Biet)

After we placed our order we noticed the restaurant started getting busier and more people were coming in with larger parties. Which is normal since this was 12:30ish. Sat there waiting for 20mins on appetizers which is fine since they were getting busy... 30mins pass no food... another 10mins pass no food.. yet all the other tables being seated less than 15-20 mins and they were being served.. We were a little confused whether our order was placed at all. So we asked the waitress what was going on she told us our food was coming. We kept noticing the bus boy dropping off food to every table & yet our table STILL HAD NO FOOD. The table in front of us who came in AFTER US with a party of 12 already were being serve their food! And no this was not appetizers, 3 orders of the Bo Ne and 2 kids pho served 1st (Same thing as our order) the rest of their order also came quickly after.. as we received NOTHING!!!! Is there an explanation? We did not have any special instructions nor were we being difficult..

We went to the counter asked the girl again. She came to our table asking us about or order.. yes we order that 40mins ago! Finally we got something, our VEGETABLES (LOL) I guess this was their way of reassuring us our food was coming, NOPE!! Another 20 pass and finally the food arrived. Was it hot and fresh? No! Was it messy, Yes! Guess the cow used for my order was still in the fields running around.

Unfortunately this place is just not for me.. 60mins on basic pho is ridiculous. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone here because you will starve.. waiting on your food.

Unless you want a fresh cow 🐄 slaughtered and still taste like frozen...

I consider myself a “Pho Nomad” each time I’m at an area I don’t typically transit at, I look for a Vietnamese place to try the pho, been busy lately so I’ve forgotten to produce the reviews for the last three places that have been overwhelming at best (specially one very close to Houston USCIS Asylum Offices, pho had a rancid and horrible taste, 1st time in my life I throw away pho to the garbage).

Anyways, wanted pho in the middle of several errands I was doing in the Pearland area the Thursday before the Feb 14 madness… chose Yummy Pho & Bo Ne, with my expectations very low and they caught me off guard…. You can literally feel the LOVE they put in the PHO, had a Beef one and a Pork Bahn Mi, nothing disappointed ! It was so good that this place is now somewhere on my Houston Pho Top 5 (and a reminder you, I’m obsessed with Vietnamese food so I’ve tried around 50 different places by now, just in Houston, probably more)

Sandwich was crispy enough, to perfection, not greasy, intense flavor. And the Pho… the same, rich, intense, dense, it had a fancy and sweet touch that is just remarkable !!!! 100% recommended !!!!

at the beginning service was slower than usual in Vietnamese places, they took a little too long to take care of me, then to come back to ask for the order, then to bring a portion of my food, all three servers were a little too distracted and on their phones too much, don’t want to be a complainer, I’m a patient customer I was a serve myself for almost 3 years, but what in saying was so evident that had to say it here… BUT once they were at my table, they were absolutely caring, charming and polite, needless to say that after I tried the food all of that tardiness was absolutely...

Update- as of 02/14/2025 I’m done with this place.

I decided to give it one more try on Valentine’s Day. I placed an order to go. I was told 10 minutes. Okay no problem. 25 minutes later and I’m still waiting. If it was going to be a half an hour wait just say that. Under promise and overdeliver… Always That’s just good customer service. But you won’t find that here. Got home with my food and found a surprise traveler in the broccoli in my veggie pho. See picture below.

I’ve been here many times and the food is always delicious. Something was off today. I ordered the tofu vermicelli like always. This time tho it was not good- very bland and I asked if they had changed the recipe or how they made it. The woman (not our server) said she didn’t think so, and that she had worked there for three years. Told her she could take the dish. I then asked for a to go order or pho broth as I was still hungry. She then proceeded to charge me for everything. After she charged me for everything she asked if I would like something else….ummm that’s why I ordered the to go item. Why was this not offered prior to my placing the to go order or her charging me for my dish and my replacement meal. Very poor...
