I don’t live in the area. Stopped by after a trip to Sams club. The cashier was very nonchalant while taking my order. I ordered the Kami Tonkotsu. I was told 10-15 minutes for take out. So I sat in a seat near the door. I Actively watched the cashier put many orders on the rack within the first 10 minutes. At the 15 minute mark, I asked about my order, and guess what? It was one of many orders that she put on the rack 5 minutes ago. Did I mention that I was the only person waiting for to-go in the restaurant? It would have been nice to receive my order hot considering I had a long drive home, which I mentioned to the cashier. To make matters worst, I get home and half of my meal was in the bottom of the bag. Whomever made my order did not secure the lid. I was upset, but I ordered extra broth so no big deal, right? I spoke to soon. The broth was boring and it lacked traditional Tonkotsu flavor or creativity. To be honest, I was just introduced to ramen since the pandemic and I eat Ramen on a weekly basis (2-3 times 🤦🏽‍♀️) which is more often than I care to admit to. I just had ramen on Saturday for lunch at another restaurant that I had never been to and it was amazing. Kami restaurant has the worst ramen I’ve ever been served to date. Save yourself the disappointment and drive to Jinya or somewhere in Bellaire. Did I mention the pork chashu taste old? $20 buck down the drain after a long day at work…thanks! I definitely should have read the reviews before wasting my time.. BLAND IN FLAVOR✅ SALTY IN TASTE✅ OVER COOKED NOODLES and VEGGIES✅

New place that's been open for two months,. This building has a comfy environment and shares the same kitchen/building as Edo.japan. Selection has quite the variety I got the tonktsu ramen with chili garlic paste on the side and extra egg . As a ramen junkie here's my review $14 Broth-. Was alright, not heavy nor light but lacked some flavour and couldn't tell what direction it was going Toppings- green onions are sliced long rather then chop, carrots, fried garlic was normal but the corn look and tasted bland/off which I can't tell if it's from overcooking or soiled too long. Marinated egg 🥚-. Hardly could tell it was marinated and it's about 80% cooked with alittle soft yolk on the actual center but it lacked flavour to be consider marinated and was mostly cook it did not stand out from a regular hard boiled egg to me. Cashu-. Cooked well, and soft to eat with braised top, not bad , no extra marinate or flavour but good Noodles - def gave a good amount .and thinner then my usual ramen noodles. Overall quality was .. decent. Quantity is plenty, -Service was great and really were keeping check on everyone but I feel they were def not staff enough for the volume they have The waiters were as hosts, cleaning, setting tables and running to go orders. Thats Abit for 3 people. I truelly hope they're getting paid enough h to do all of that. I can't judge the other selections of food but def didn't taste like Japanese ramen.

Came here for a late lunch. The place was not crowded at all. Sufficient parking around the restaurant. We were seated quickly. We tried the Curry Chicken and Spicy Cream Vegan ramens, as well as chicken fried rice. The chicken bun and vegan bun were quite good. Really liked the sauces used in the buns. Spicy cream vegan was very good. I'm usually a meat-eating person so I was skeptical. Surprisingly good. Mango Yogurt - not what we expected. From the name, you'd imagine that it has yogurt in it. Something similar to Mango Lassi in Indian restaurants. It was just juice... 🤷🏻 Service - This is where I had a gripe. I get it that employees attend tables and they can get tired. So if they're sitting down at the table and taking a break, of course that's fine; not at all an issue. But when they're all at a table, ALL of them on their phones, and not paying attention to the tables - that's just sloppiness. They really need to pay more attention to the tables and at least take turns in taking breaks.

My wife and I had been meaning to try this place when it opened and Saturday we finally got the chance. The place was almost full but the ambiance made it comfy and cozy. The staff are super nice and accommodating. We started off some appetizers. The gyoza (potstickers) and the Kaarage (fried chicken) and a pork belly bao. The gyoza was ok, nothing to write home about. The Kaarage was decent, the sauce it came with was pretty good. The bao was meh, I wish the Mayo was spread better not just plopped on top of the meat. I tried the Shoyu and my wife had the Tonkatsu black. The Shoyu was equivalent to basic Maruchan noodles you make at home, except I think maruchan has more seasoning than that broth did. The noodles themselves were cooked well, but reminded me too much of maruchan noodles. I felt like I was eating a fancy bowl of maruchan (chicken flavored). My wife could not eat more than a couple bites of the tonkatsu black, it had this weird taste, I never tried before. Since I wasn’t impressed with my bowl I gave it to my wife. The waiter did engage with us and was very attentive, service is not an issue for this place A+ there, but he did admit sometimes it’s not always consistent and he has to add a lot to his bowls, he also mentioned (when I asked) that the bowl I ordered was one of the most popular. I was in shock… The most basic restaurant ramen I had ever had was popular wow. I am not a fan of Jinya (another popular ramen place), but I would pick that over Kami Ramen bar any day. Hopefully they work on improving their ramen, until then I will continue to trek into the city for better...
