Deja Vu Consignments — Local services in Pella

I have shopped here for years with friends or family for girls day, and I will never come back.

At the end of shopping around, my son with cancer began to get tired and frustrated. I had been allowing him and his little sister to hold the toys they wanted while we shopped, but I took them away to avoid my kids becoming disrespectful in the store with them when I realized he was having a hard time.

Instead of waiting to see why I took them away and set them on the table (of things I was literally looking at to buy for myself by the check out) the owner asked me loudly in front of the entire store “Aren’t you going to buy those? You let your kids carry them around the whole store!”

I am still IN THE STORE. At the table with keychains and fun stickers/charms by check out....

In general It's the priciest consignment store around by far but, sometimes they have good deals. I took my MIL there cuz shed been wanting to check it out, I didn't expect to buy anything (I'm more of a fan of The Well type of places) but, I did find 3 shirts that were cute for $10 each and I only paid that much cuz it's hard to find cute things in my bigger size. That being said, they don't especially have a lot in bigger sizes, I think I busy got lucky. It was a cute BonJovi, AC/DC and one other Maurice's tee so worth it to me to pay that price. About the only consignment store I ever go to. Seems to be picky about what they take, which is great, I don't have to spend extra time looking for stains or damage! I stop in about once a month, rarely do I see the same things still hanging on the racks. If it's there is still in good enough shape to wear. The only reason I don't personally give it a five star may make no difference to someone else. Whatever they use for an air freshener is just too strong for me.
