First off, this gym has been under so many different names/owners it's hard to keep up with the history. I first became a member of this gym back in 2010. I enjoyed my time there but moved to a new city so I ended my membership in mid-2011. Fast forward 3 years later and I'm back in Pembroke Pines so I rejoined this gym since all of the other gyms in Pines don't impress me (besides YMCA- but their membership fees were a bit too high for a recent college grad like myself). It's funny to come back years later and discover all of the same rusted gym equipment is still there, just more broken down and rusted now. Equipment doesn't seem to get replaced here, just taken out. I love the friendly faces at this gym and the sense of community present, but come on, those treadmills are half my age, the bars are so rusted I'm afraid I'll injure myself... and I'm honestly surprised those ellipticals are still...
Read moreBest gym by far & I've been a member of large chain gyms as well as small family owned gyms but AMP is the best of both worlds. It's a family friendly gym with very competent and knowledgeable trainers. It has excellent classes of all varieties & Organic Blends for all your delicious & healthy meal/protein shake choices. I can't imagine training anywhere else!! My favorite classes are G-Force, spinning & Stuntworks besides my amazing trainer Marc Joseph. If you haven't tried them, you must. Read moreThis is one run down dirty gym! I came for a yoga class as I was in the vicinity getting my Lashes done and I must say I will never return. Upstairs the ac was broken they had a huge noisy fan and the room was dirty, and leaks on the ceiling and smelly.. Not to mention the rest ...never renovated since the 80s probably.... Sad because the yoga lesson was very nice but the ambiance totally ruined...
