Hot Chicks House of Chicken in Pembroke Pines. Walking in, youâll be greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere with quite a few picture opportunities with the cool signage. The service is friendly and very quick, food is made fresh to order to its good if youâre not flush with time. The food, to put it plainly, is quite average. I ordered a Hot Chick sandwich with medium heat. The chicken itself was a large helping but just lacking that kick in flavor that Nashville chicken is known for. It was a tad dry, and while the sandwich had a nice sauce, there wasnât enough of it for me to know it was there and add sufficient flavor. The French fries came directly from the Burger King kitchens, they must have the same distributor because the flavor is nearly identical, three of my friends agreed so itâs not merely a coincidence. A friend of mine ordered chicken tenders, it was tasty, but nothing special, and what I presumed was cluck sauce didnât have a distinct flavor, it wanted to be a ranch, ketchup, thousand island melangerie but I couldnât quite put a flavor on it. The tenders came with a slice of toast, but it wasnât Texas toast, just a piece of toast. A Texas toast slice would be a welcome addition to the menu. A friend of mine had a hot chick sandwich with hot heat and he quite enjoyed it so I would recommend that sandwich, if youâre in the area. A couple friends of mine had a side of macaroni and it was, just mediocre. Not great but not bad either, just there. I also ordered five Korean chicken wings with mild heat. They serve whole wings which was a nice touch, and the sauce took a little getting used to but it was an interesting tangy and savory flavor.
All in all, the food is average, not at all great, and not at all awful, itâs just not memorable. My biggest gripe is honestly the price, the prices are a bit high for the the average food to justify the expense (I spent $25 on the sandwich and 5 wings). Nice service and good ideas, just lacking a the X-factor that could turn this food from...
Read moreOMG, the food at this place is outstanding. I always order the Seoul Chick sandwich, which is Korean BBQ. Unfortunately the last time I went they got my order wrong. I got slim chicks. I had never ordered that, so I was a bit annoyed. What really upset me, however, was the manager and the cashier arguing with me that I said slim instead of Seoul. He said he heard me say slim from âway over thereâ as he put it. The reason I am absolutely 100% sure I ordered the Seoul and not the slim is because I ONLY order the Seoul when I go there. I donât even know what the slim is. Well, I know now, but I didnât before. I found it disrespectful that they would argue with me about that like Iâm stupid or something. On top of that, I left a freaking tip!!!! I wish I had the Replay capability like in those commercials! And letâs say he was right. Letâs say it was my mistake. Was that really the way to handle it as a manager? Guess whoâs not going back there? And that pisses me off because I really love that damn Seoul...
