Magication Station — Local services in Pendleton

What a cute store. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a lovely woman who graciously showed us around. The focus is on learning/STEM toys plus magic tricks- no screens or apps, no video games, no Barbies or LOL Surprise in sight, which is a refreshing change.

A few minutes into my visit, the elf appeared. No, that's not a misprint. A guy dressed as an elf- pointy ears and all, with the world's highest falsetto- walked in and offered to do a magic trick. My savvy 11 year old had a hard time not losing it, but he was friendly, fun, and we were all in on the gag after a minute so it was all good. I could see the appeal for a (much) younger audience.

The nitty-gritty: after checking online, I discovered that prices are surprisingly competitive. Selection is obviously more restricted, but that is clearly by design, and honestly helps with decision fatigue. It's certainly not the easiest place to find- signage is pretty small and somewhat hard to decipher.

Anyway, one chemistry set purchase later, we were on our way, happy to support a local small business. If you want something different than your typical big box store filled with the typical junk, this is a no-brainer. I will...

My kids love this toy store and every time we are in town they ask to visit. The toys are high quality and the prices are surprisingly competitive. Their toys are the kind that get their brains and hands working, with things like tangrams, magnetic toys for car rides, marble puzzles, dig kits, kites, RC vehicles, etc. They also have a lot of fidget toys and chew necklaces and other products with help with sensory stimulation. The owners are super friendly and helpful and Elfie helped gave my son a balloon creation and showed magic tricks. The Easter bunny even put in an appearance while we were there. Highly recommended. Was traveling on my way from Iowa through the area and saw this store in Pendleton, so i decided to stop. WHAT A STORE!! There is sooo much cool and exciting toys and games for all ages. The staff was SUPER friendly and everything was so nice and organized. I just wish i had a lot more time to spend because next time I will. Take the kids and watch their minds go crazy here with...
