Yummerful — Restaurant in Pendleton

Don’t look up any other ice cream shops. You found the one. My family came here recently and it was the best experience we’ve had getting ice cream in our entire lives.

My dad (a man who typically doesn’t care for ice cream) came with us. Normally we’d all get something, he’d get something small and basic, he’s never really impressed. This time he sampled the Bourbon Espresso and the Apple Pie, he paused, looked at us and said “this is the best ice cream I’ve ever had”. His eyes were practically popping out of his head. He liked it so much that he bought a quart of each to keep at home. (Reminder: this is a man who doesn’t like many sweets, and rarely eats ice cream)

When I tell you this is a big deal I mean it, he doesn’t share his opinion much, but when he does…we’ll let’s just say that Yummerful has become my family’s go-to ice cream spot. And we’re not even from Pendleton! We’ll drive almost half an hour, past at least 5 ice cream spots, just to come here.

And if you’re not into ice cream you have to get the chocolate chip cookies. They’re just like the cookies you’d get in elementary school, I’m talking IDENTICAL.

So I went in with the flavor and item I wanted already picked out in my head. A blue moon milk shake... When I looked at the selection and saw no blue moon my heart broke, but knew that I would be just as happy with something else. When I told the owner I had my heart set on blue moon she found a tub in the back that she was saving for next week's flavor rotation. She went ahead and cracked it open just for me and made the bessstttt blue moon milk shake ever. She said next time I have to try blue moon and birthday cake milkshake , so I'll be back before summer is over to give it a whirl!

Note: their blue moon isn't as sweet as Good's it's almost like cereal...

My Aunt took us here after visiting the park. It was SO GOOD. My mom and aunt both got the Kitty Kitty something or other and liked theirs. My son got the Heaps of Love, and I got the Praline Pecan. We all enjoyed our ice cream! The single serving is two scoops with the ice cream scooper. The man working there was very friendly, gave our samples so we could decide which ones we wanted, and thanked us when we were leaving. Great small...
