Disheartening Experience and Poor Customer Service My husband and I visited this restaurant on 2/13/25 for the second time. Unfortunately, our return was met with poor service and a lack of professionalism. I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but after this experience, I felt it was important to share my thoughts. Before arriving, I tried to make a reservation as we had been seated at an uncomfortable spot near the door during our first visit. However, I was told over the phone that reservations weren’t necessary, and we could simply walk in. We arrived on time, but after being ignored for several minutes, we were told to sit at the bar, despite having expressed our discomfort with that arrangement. When I mentioned my attempt to make a reservation, I was told we had arrived later than 15 minutes, which was not the case and also that I didn't clarify that I wanted a table. I didn't know that I needed a reservation for a bar, as far as I know, bars are open. Then, I was told we could wait 15-20 minutes for a table, but this didn’t seem fair given that I had called in advance. The situation became more confusing when I was told we could sit at the next-door restaurant and order pizza from there, only to be told moments later that we couldn't. Then we were asked again if we wanted to sit at the bar to wait for the table and I said that I would prefer to wait, since it was only 15 min, to then be told that it was more like 35-40 min. I cannot describe the discomfort I felt at this point, it felt like we were being judged, possibly because of how we looked or sound since we have accents. It was really disappointing the way we were being treated, it felt like we were being manipulated into doing what was convenient for the restaurant, rather than providing us with the service we had hoped for. It's amazing to see how people look down on you just for your appearance. We’ve lived in Pendleton for over 20 years, and as hardworking, respectful members of the community, we’ve never felt so unwelcome. We weren’t looking for special treatment, just the same courteous service every customer should expect. I’m sharing this feedback to let you know about the issues we faced and to hopefully prevent others from experiencing similar treatment. My husband and I are not seeking anything from this, we just wanted to let you know how we were...
Read moreThe ambiance at INItaly is truly remarkable, with lighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and comfortable. The service is outstanding—attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The pizzas are absolutely fantastic. They offer a unique twist on traditional Italian recipes, delivering flavors that are both authentic and innovative. Each bite takes you on a journey to Italy, but with a creative touch that makes them stand out. The appetizers are equally impressive—beautifully presented, imaginative, and bursting with flavor. You can tell that a lot of thought and care go into each dish.
Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the starters to the main courses. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and it’s clear that they prioritize serving the best. The drink menu is diverse, catering to different tastes. I tried the Aperol Spritz, and it was perfectly balanced and refreshing—ideal for complementing the meal.
I genuinely believe that INItaly is destined to become a popular spot, not just in Pendleton but throughout Indiana. The only suggestion I have is that they consider expanding the space because once people discover this gem, it’s going to be packed!
I highly recommend INItaly to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience with a creative take on Italian cuisine. I wish them great success and am excited to...

We had an unforgettable date night at INItaly in Pendleton, IN—and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but the food absolutely stole the show.
We ordered the INItaly pizza, and WOW. Homemade mozzarella, mortadella, burrata, pistachio grains, pistachio pesto, parmesan flakes, EVOO, and fresh basil—it was a flavor explosion that instantly transported me back to Naples, Italy. This might be the best pizza I’ve had outside of Italy, hands down.
We also tried the Panzarotto and Patatine Cacio e Pepe, and both were out-of-this-world delicious. The Patatine were perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the Panzarotto was a cheesy, comforting dream.
