The Falls Perk Coffee House is a locally owned wonderfully peaceful place that has many good sides to this hexagram. 1. The coffee is quality right out of the bag. Fresh ground, the espressos are made by the baristas without overheating the milk (most preparations should not allow the temperature to go over about 140-145 deg F) and it makes the brew so much smoother and easy on the taste buds while providing that caffeine you may need to help move on with the day. 2. The offerings to eat are more than most coffee houses, which makes this more of a coffee cafe than a place mainly for coffee and talking to a friend. They still need to be sure the quality a few of the baked goods are high quality, but they're continually improving. 3. The setting is very well put together. It's right on the edge of downtown with Falls Creek Park kitty-corner across the intersection, where you can walk on the paved walkways or go to the far side and walk in the dirt trails and feel closer to nature. There's also a very good small, local museum in the park that tells a bit more about the town of Pendleton, how it got there and why it exists. 4. It is a calm area in the Indianapolis metro and when you just HAVE to get out of the rat-race that is this old city, you don't have to drive 200 miles to find it. 5. A great place to walk in this old downtown, talk to a local or two, because they're very friendly. The only somewhat short-attituded person I've met there hopped in a car with Illinois plates...not a local! (nothing against Illinois people, he just was one). 6. If you go to this place with any regularity, you can't help but feel a bit maternal/paternal/parental (;-)) about the place - it has that affect on you. Then when you go in for some soothing French Roast and a warm gooey bun, it's a bit more like the home you have had...
Read moreI'm absolutely obsessed with Falls Perk Coffee House! As a coffee aficionado, I'm always on the lookout for a great cup of joe, and Falls Perk delivers. Their matcha lattes are out of this world, and their baked goods are always fresh and delicious.
But what really sets Falls Perk apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and they make you feel like part of the community. Whether I'm meeting with friends, working on a project, or just need a quiet spot to relax, Falls Perk is my go-to spot.
If you're a coffee lover like me, or just looking for a cozy spot to hang out, do yourself a favor and check out Falls Perk Coffee House. You won't be disappointed!
Favorite drink: Honey latte iced with half & half cream (since they don’t have whole milk).
Tips: Get there early to grab a seat by the window, and don't be afraid to ask the staff for recommendations - they're always happy to help!
One minor quibble: Falls Perk, please consider adding whole milk to your options! As a traditionalist, I miss the rich flavor of whole milk in my coffee. But honestly, their alternative milks are so well-curated that I've learned to adapt.
Overall, Falls Perk Coffee House is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves great coffee, delicious treats, and a...
Read moreThe coffee was great, the girl who took my order was kind, professional, and helpful in recommending a drink for me. HOWEVER, a family was allowing their child to scream at the top of his lungs (not in a regular way that a child is loud). The child was crashing into the furniture and rage screaming the entire time. Several people got up and left. I could not complete my work on my computer. I was seeking a relaxing, professional environment. What i experienced was comparable to a mosh pit in the middle of a library. At what point do you, as a business, feel its necessary to politely approach the customer and let them know they are being disruptive to the other customers and causing an unpleasant experience. It was absolutely out of control. I left there irritated and shaking, with a migraine. It pretty much killed my perception of this place, not sure if ill be back due to the fact that ill associate it with the first nightmare experience I had here. Otherwise, I would've given 5 stars. You're not a franchise, there's no HR to answer to.... set a standard, and don't let someone create chaos for other patrons please. It was...
