HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I been to many At home locations in az, and this is by far the worst! First off, they close at 10! According to Google maps, website, ect. I even asked what time they close, and the female cashier said 10. I saw 3 employees right away as I came in, neither of them greeted me, just gave me a rude face because it was 9:30. This store is huge! After 5 mins of looking for what i needed and needed help, there was NO ONE to help me. Every time I came across an employee they didn't even ask me if I needed help, and they didn't even acknowledge me at all. So I just went walking around the whole store myself, eventually found what I was looking for towards the end. It was 9:50 when they kept announcing that the store is closed. Uuummm..10 mins still left which is alot of time! 9:52 i went to pay, the female cashier had already closed out her cash register. She even made a comment that she has to log back in. She even said they just want customers out early when I told her it's not 10 yet, its 9:53. To top it off, all there employees (teenagers) as i was paying, were at the front of the store in a group by the entrance. hanging out and laughing and giggling, chit chatting, on their phones. Desperately waiting for me to pay, so they can leave before 10!! Once I left at 9:55 they locked the entrance doors right behind me! Myself coming from retail and customer service, this is very UNPROFESSIONAL. You are always gonna get a last minute customer. I had just got off work at the hospital, and thought 30 minutes before they close is a good amount of time to find 1 thing. But they will make you feel like you taking up there time, and you are a bother for buying something from a store that pays their paychecks. From my 10 years of customer service, that is #1 priority, and should never have a good paying customer unsatisfied. If these employees don't want to be there then let them go, or retrain them. During these times, there is soooo many people needing jobs. Learn to...
Read moreI absolutely loved this store, when they first opened their doors, two years ago. Everyone, was so nice and welcoming, and totally informative. They even gave you info on discounts, as well as their website info to sign-up. Love this store because they have lots of everything for home interior and exterior. Everything for the kitchen as well. The prices range from low to high, but still can fit to anyone's budget. The list is endless.
You can absolutely get lost for hours in this place, and possibly see no workers here either. It is also pretty warm in here, so it can be uncomfortable in the Summer time. They had this advertised sale for patio furniture, cushions on sale for 25% - 50% off, yet in their HUGE entire stock, there were only TWO sets that were actually on sale. Go figure!
My huge take on retail business is customer service; and here, it is utterly and completely lacking! When we got to the check out, the cashier knew absolutely nothing, in response to any of my questions. I had five questions. I don't take "I don't know," for an answer. Yes, please get a manager, so I can ask him. Thank you! All I got was a 'deer in the headlights' type of stare for each question!
Also, if you don't know the price on an item, please don't speak amongst yourselves, and ring up a price that you assume or act like you know what it is! I asked the cashier "What is that you just did?" He tells me that the item did not have a price, but his manager told him to ring up one of my other items, and charge $4.99. This was for a small, plastic, office type, waste bin that was $2.99. Yet, he never bothered to ask me if I knew the price for it. I told him "I'm not paying 5 bucks for that! Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten it. I grabbed it from the back and it was $2 something!" Trying to rack up my rewards points on my card, but yes, I'm very frugal too! So, that's my take on...
Read moreHave purchased a few times from this store in different cities. This location is horrible. Went to find outdoor chair cushions for my patio set. Looking at the options they have sale signs posted BOGO (buy one at regular price receive one half off). The signs are posted around the whole area/asiles of cushions. Thanks to my daughter who caught a sign on the end of an asile that the sale was only for certian patterns and colors. You must buy from the patterns posted on the sign and not just any of the cushions. I verified this with one of the ladies who was working there. So I changed the cushions I was going to purchase and found one that where a part of the sale. Bought the cushions and other items. I asked for my receipt at the register when I checked out to make sure the price was adjusted correctly. Was told everything is electronic and no receipt was available. When I got home and checked my email like I had thought the BOGO half off was not applied to my purchase. I called the store with no luck. Girl who answered the phone said I would need to bring them all back and do a refund then purchase them again. I told her I live an housr away and only come in once a twice a year. She said she couldnt help me. Asked for manager she said they dont have one. Contacted corporate customer service and they where not much help either I bought 10 cushons and when I got a response to my email they only wated to give me a $5 dollar back gift card. I sent a few emails back and fourth with them with not much luck. I also noticed once I got home the pillows had two different tag prices on them. Some where marked at $24.99 and others at $19.99 a few weeks later I took them all back to the store. I refuse to do business with a company that is shady with there sales making it difficult to purchase and even worse marking things with different prices and hoping customers don't notice and take...
