Del Taco — Restaurant in Peoria

This Del Taco says it opens at 7am. Even on its doors it says this however 90% of the time they are not open. I come here around 7:15 to 7:30 and still not open. There is a car there and the lights are on but no one answering the drive thru and the doors are locked. Once in a great while I will get lucky and they will be open on time but that’s very very rare. If you can’t open up on time then maybe change your hours or hire someone who can be consistent and open at the same time every morning as posted. Update: still not open when they say for 3 more weeks now. Came at 7:30 and closed. Seriously?? Update again. Once again 3 times in a row not open at 7:15 am. People inside won’t come and say anything and no sign saying closed. Update: ok so I blame myself for coming back thinking they have improved but well the guy didn’t have his headset on so he didn’t answer the drive thru. We pulled up and all he said was oh. Then after ordering we asked for a small water and got charged $1? That’s new. Ok Del Taco can you please do something. This is probably THE WORST Del Taco I've ever been to every time I go. The service is always slow, 3 cars in the drive through and 15 minutes waiting in line. It's even worse once it's night time. Workers always sound like they are barely functioning (specifically at this location). Food is always questionable, my husband and I say we are never going back to this location because of how terrible it is, but it is the closest del taco so if we ever want del taco we are always ending up back at this location, but I will definitely never be coming back. Tonight I ordered my large fry well done (because if you don't say well done the fries are always disgustingly soggy). My fries looked burnt, but also soggy? Weren't even warm, so definitely weren't fresh. I wasn't even about to wait for the problem to be fixed because they take so long to finish any order ever. Air fried them at home hoping to at least give them some life, they were wet with grease and tasted awful. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but pick a different Del Taco if that's what you want to eat. This specific spot is always the...

Young girl who took our order messed up every. Single. Part. Of the order. She did not repeat our order back til us, or we would have caught all the mess ups. As we were eating we saw another dine In customer need a return for her over charging them.

When I went up to the counter to fix one item, 2 other customers from drive through were coming in to fix their messed up orders as well. Manager was busy in the food prep line, allowing an unqualified, rude, male employee to handle all these messed up orders.

When I finally spoke to the manager about my order being correct he refunded me the $7 over charge. He was great, Louis, I think was his name. He is the only reason they get any stars. The rest of the staff was rude and short in every customer interaction I witnessed. If an employee is messing up that many orders in a row, common sense says to put someone else on register.

Overall always a bad expierence when I come to this location .
