I just got home from Benson's Appliance Store in Peoria Illinois. I had a question, there was only one person working and he said that he didn't anything about any of the appliances,he just works there. If I want to know something, I would have to make a service appointment. What kind of owner hires someone for an Appliance Store and don't teach them anything about the appliances or how to look anything up on the computer? I got a text back from Scott Benson, he said me a text that he was sending to someone else. Benson has gone down hill since his dad gave him the business. I don't recommend anyone looking to buy appliances to go there. If you want to ask them a question, they will just tell you to make a severe appointment. You have to pay to ask a question. Read moreI would give 0 stars if I can. I Submitted a home warranty claim and used Bensons to repair our oven. Paid the claim, bensons came out, deemed our control board was bad. Ordered our part yet never notified us when it arrived. We contact Bensons for an update to find out they lost our control board. That they would have to call our home warranty company again. Weeks go by with no update and a broken oven. Call again, they claim they can’t get a hold of our home warranty. Fed up, I pull the control board apart to investigate. I find a 1/2 long plastic spacer between the micro switch and outer cover fell out and would not depress the micro switch to turn on the oven. I assembled it and works like a charm. Poor diagnosis as it only cost me my time and I’m out $200 in warranty claims for all of this. I will NEVER recommend...
Read moreCalled the Peoria Benson's for repair on ice maker on side by side refrigerator. Tech came out did diagnosis. Ordered heater part. Came out week later to install new part. Tech broke new part installing it. Had to reorder part. After a week I called Benson's requested update. Tech didn't call back. Next day called to speak with manager. He was VERY ARROGANT. He said part will be another couple days. I asked why no communication. He said sarcastically "we can't make the part". I told him this was terrible customer service. I have to buy ice every other day now. I asked if I will be compensated for the inconvenience. He repeated "we can't make the part". This manager didn't care about the customer service.
