Kohl's is one of my favorite stores. From the large variety of shoes that constantly have sales running on them to the large kitchen area again that always have sales running to the sports shirts selection 4 men women kids adults. The Juniors and women sections are large and have everything you could need. Sometimes even up to 90% off depending on seasonal closeouts. They have a wonderful jewelry selection with watches and necklaces rings and anything you could want. There are sunglasses, purses, belts, frames, bedding, electronic gadgets, and men's department always carry a great variety of items and again most of the time you can find stuff on sale. The kids department is by far one of my favorite Departments of any store because of how large it is and the variety and the low prices. They carry your name brands for reasonable prices. If you sign up for a Kohl's charge card you get emails with all their specials and you can get an additional 20% off or 30% off and sometimes 40% off of your purchase. You can use your card for your order and do a second order and pay that card right then and there with your check. If you join yes2you rewards that they offer then you earn points for all your purchases and receive more discounts and coupons. It's a win-win. When my son was younger all of his clothes came from Kohl's and now that he's 17 and has branched out some all of his jeans still come from Kohl's and all the shoes come from Kohl's and sport shirts come from Kohls. Any of his athletic clothes still come from Kohls. We love when we get that 30% off coupon and that's a new time of year to where we can replace old towels with new towels or replace old bedding with new bedding and we get it for a great price especially if it's already on sale and you get 30% more off. I've been shopping at Kohl's for probably 20 years or more and I have not once ever been...
Read moreThe store is in good order. Kohl's usually has a nice selection of clothes, bedclothes, bath towels, bath rugs, etc., and lots of housewares.
Reconcile these two statements: "Kohl's is always having a sale." vs "Kohl's never has sales." As long as I've shopped their stores, TV, radio, and newspaper ads tout sales. The stores are filled with these promotions. Shoppers can find great deals. Lead-ups to holidays, especially, offer truly substantial savings and "Kohl's Cash". The latter can be used to purchase items at significant discounts.
But considering that this perk can only be used to purchase items at their stores, it's not as significant a savings as an actual discounted price provides. Discounts keep money in your pockets. "Kohl's Cash (or as it should probably be called, "Kohl's Kash" as a nod to the marketing schemes the stores employ to part shoppers from their disposable income) gives deep discounts but only in-store. So you're gonna have to buy from them if you want good prices.
But for all its rather sketchy marketing plots, Kohl's has an important role as a seller of name brands and house brands of good to excellent quality at prices higher than Target's but less than the next tier of retailers, like Macy's.
Kohl's is a nice place to shop. It's clean, well-ordered, and relatively low-key. Understand how the promotions work and you can get some nice discounts.

Read moreI could not believe how disorganized and cluttered every part of the store we went into was. Things were such a mess two of the things I purchased said they were supposed to be one price but ended up costing much more. The Jr bottoms said they were supposed to cost $22 and they were$32.99 & the Jr Active wear was on a rack with multiple sizes and was supposed to cost $20 & it was $27.99. The dressing room looked like a tornado had been through it with clothes hanging in every room. A store employee came in and i said something about it to him, he went in 1 room grabbed an arm load and put it on the giant pile of stuff already waiting to be put back and walked away. Whoever is managing that store should be ashamed of the way that store looks. While checking us out the employee did not say hello, goodbye, or thank you. She did however ask if it was ok to text her mom real quick to which i said i guess and she did. She was moving like she was in slow motion so my daughter and I started taking hangers off just to speed...
