So here is my story about my experience at Shermanâs. I went in June and bought stove , refrigerator, and microwave. On the first day my husband is trying to adjust the legs to level the refrigerator and the legs wonât move. So we call Shermanâs and tell them about it and they send a service guy. He came to my house and had the same problem and can not move the legs and also noticing something is wrong with the doors they are not mounted properly and is causing the doors to not seal. So he was unable to fix anything on this visit. Scheduled visit number 2 knew repair guy gets here says the same thing guy one says canât move the feet gonna have to get different feet but still the doors canât be fixed they are mounted and canât be moved but weâll fix the feet and see if that does anything. Even though we know it wonât make a difference. Scheduled visit number 3 repair guy comes fixes the feet and says canât do anything about the door. So we call Shermanâs and complain about how the door still donât work so schedule visit number 4 guy comes and says there is nothing I can do we are gonna just report this to the manufacturer youâll here from us. About at least 3 weeks goes by I have not heard anything so I call them they say oh let me check with the manufacture and get back to you. Lady finally calls me back and say ok they are going to exchange your fridge for another one. Great!! Scheduled delivery visit number 5 from Shermanâs. They bring the new fridge. The delivery guys were not very nice. They told my husband he was making them uncomfortable because he was watching and in their way. Go to plug fridge in and the fan is broke so itâs not working. Doors are also messed up and they said something is wrong with our floor thatâs why. We put a level on the floor totally level. So they leave and now I have no working fridge at all had to go buy a cooler. Been trying to get ahold of the manager cortney all day they keep saying she isnt available and sheâll call me back. Still no call yet. I do have to say sales...
Read moreI absolutely would not recommend Sherman's in Peru. The actual purchase went very smoothly with the measurements I had. However, after that it's been an absolute nightmare. I was told it would take max 30 days to be delivered, then happened to mention later the fine print was actually a 4-6 week max. They mentioned it was my fault for not reading this and said that nothing could be done. I understand I probably should have read this, but an accurate depiction of the delivery time would have been appreciated.
The ottoman I ordered wasn't ready yet, so they were holding up the whole order. One person I talked to said they could do 2 deliveries for free and the other person I talked to said they would ship the ottoman for free and I could bring it up myself. It got delivered this morning and the delivery people didn't even try to bring it up my stairs. I called in to see what in the world was going on, but the whole entire time the blame was put on me that I didn't measure correctly or accurately explain my entryway. I believe the correct response would have been maybe there was a miscommunication on either side but this is how we're going to fix it. Every person I've talked to has refused to take responsibility and has the worst customer service with a furniture store I've ever worked with.
I was asked to come back in to find a different piece of furniture that will come up my stairs, but I am hesitant to buy anything from these people out of fear this will happen all over again. Overall, I would give this place 2 stars because of the wonderful customer service I had in store but after that has been a complete nightmare. I would suggest going to anywhere else solely because of the horrible customer service. The furniture is wonderful quality, but this no longer matters to me because of...
Read moreWe purchased a washing machine and stacking kit from Sherman's a few months ago. They came out last Friday with the items and unfortunately had the wrong stacking kit. Mistakes happen and Customer Service called us back right away. But, they could not reschedule delivery for another week, not because of a part's shortage, but because of how busy they were at the time. I understood and rescheduled for today, a full week later. What is frustrating is that I received a phone call from the driver this morning telling me that my delivery and installation time would be between 6-8 pm tonight. Now it isn't the driver's fault but a mistake was made on Sherman's part and they couldn't even make my delivery somewhat of a priority in timing. I mean, it is already a week later is it too much to ask for a priority time? I called Customer Service to tell them about the issue and see if this type of thing could be resolved in the future. After a 5-minute conversation, all she would do is reschedule me again if I didn't like the delivery time window. Additionally, there would be no guarantee of an earlier time slot. She insisted on Sherman's STRICK policy and they would NEVER accommodate a customer's time preference even if Sherman's made a mistake. Her attitude was that at least you are receiving the part today. The customer service rep would not pass me to a manager to express my concerns and disappointment in Sherman's treatment of the issue. A Google review seems to be the only way I can express my extreme disappointment on how they are handling us after our purchase. Sheman's makes the policy, would it be too much to ask for a preference in rescheduling time if Sherman's messed up initially? That would be true customer service. Making up for a mistake the best...
