We were quoted $55 for diagnosis and then if parts were needed we'd be informed of cost and then could decide to fix or not. After diagnosis he discovered that the fram dropping was due to a fan that was plugged into the wrong space (which made NO sense since that hadn't been touched and the frame drop was a new occurance after owning the pc for 2 years) he then said it was $130 for the repair which made my 16 year old son very upset as that's not what was quoted or stated and never communicated that parts were needed and the cost would be more. No parts were actually replaced. my son questioned the power supply several times as the possible cause of the issue and was told that it tested fine. we picked the pc up and after a short discussion got the price dropped to 65 vs 130. Of course we get home (an hour away) and the issue was indeed NOT fixed after they had the pc for a week and a half. Loveesh offered to look at it again- No Thanks! He did nothing the first week and a half!! Ended up taking it to a business in cheboygan who ACTUALLY diagnosed the issue in less than 10 minutes and confirmed that the power supply was indeed the issue and due to the layer of dust on it confirmed that it had indeed never been touched nor tested prior. Save your money and frustration and go elsewhere. This place...

We had them look at our laptop which suddenly stopped working. After switching out multiple motherboards which failed to solve the problem, we asked for the laptop back (always in person as throughout the entire 4 week process we never received a returned phone call to update us ). I had them put our old motherboard back into the computer and got a refund for the motherboard(s) they ordered (thank you!), They asked $65 for "diagnostics" after telling us that they thought the problem might be due to a faulty cable. We called a person who did IT for our office a few years ago and in 5 minutes (yes, 5 minutes!) found the monitor to be faulty. He plugged the laptop into a stand- alone monitor and the laptop worked perfectly. I'd give a lower rating except that they did give a refund for the motherboard (which did not need replacing) and I'd give a higher rating if they had waved the $65...

I've used this computer source ever when they first came to Indian river and then moved to Petoskey. I've taken my 2 of my laptops to get fixed there and every time its fixed right and i have had no issues at all. the owner is a great guy and will go out of his way to help anyone in need. I will Always look forward to giving my business and support to the computer source of Petoskey .Also the computer source is very fair...
