Avoid this building from hell. The folks who work at the front desk are great but the management is the worst I have ever seen.
Only come to this building if you would like to experience spontaneous fire alarms at any hour of the day because of poor pipework done on the building (allegedly was repaired). For the apartment side of the building, there is only a single functioning elevator (has been the case for ~60% of my time at 1909). The ventilation was so poorly planned that the fan in my bathroom releases the kitchen odors from other units. Last time the hallway carpets were washed was just before they were installed. The walls are so thin I can hear my neighbor lower the blinds. This is the most overpriced and over rated building in Philadelphia. You can tell the developers rushed to complete the project and cut corners on the finishes (for example wall outlet not aligned with the hole that was drilled).
The amenities in the building are below standards one would expect for a high-end apartment building. The exterior areas have not been completed and there are construction materials all about (has been the case for the past 8 months). The gym equipment is all from an off-brand company that the corporate developer signed some sort of deal with (for example: knockoff Lululemon mirror, off-brand Peloton, off-brand row erg).

Read moreStay away. Sort by newest and read the reviews from actual residents, not just people touring. Also look at apartment ratings for reviews from residents. If we could give 0 stars we would. Management or lack thereof, rotates like a revolving door and half of them don’t actually know what’s going on and are unresponsive a vast majority of the time you want to get in contact with them. To go through just SOME of the many awful qualities of this building…. For a short time they outsourced packaging to this company called fetch and wanted everyone to send their packages there, but then randomly cancelled fetch without notifying the residents until AFTER they did so. Leaving tons of residents with packages to get themselves from a warehouse miles from the building. The valet parking is $450 a month (discounted from $600 a month) and they close their eyes and play bumper cars with no accountability. They have damaged countless vehicles, some very expensive. The amenity floor/pool is now being sold out via “memberships” that people from nearby buildings are allowed to purchase… they really took “community amenities” and RAN with it. See pictures from other resident review about the unfinished grill area. Many of the people we have met in the building are now moving out or have already moved out due to the careless quality of this overpriced mess of a building. Don’t make the same mistake we all made.. Betty, Gina, and the rest of the front desk staff are the only positive thing we have to say...
Read moreI've been living here for almost two years. Liya and the new management team have been really lovely! They throw us fun events like ice cream socials, Taco Tuesdays, and fun holiday parties! I have a dog, and the building's location is perfectly positioned right off the park. The amenities like the gym, pool, hot tub, and common spaces on the fourth floor are so gorgeous! There's also an Equinox & smoothie shop right next door, which makes life very convenient. Special shoutout to Luis who is amazingly warm and welcoming—as someone who has lived in buildings in NY, San Francisco, and LA, Luis is seriously top notch!! And the morning valet team always puts a smile on my face — O'Neill, Abdoul, Shedan, and rest of the morning crew! Also, Ola at the valet has always been extra kind and helpful & Betty is so sweet. Thank you everyone for making my time here in Philly better than it would've been...
