I give this place a 2 star because my love one couldn't get his surgery yesterday to put his skull back in because he has a infected BIG ulcer (bed sores) coming from this facility. In addition, he has loose and liquid stool of diarrhea, and hemorrhoids that's coming out of his butt. Someone not doing their job as to turning him every two hours, don't give him something for his hemorrhoids and not giving him anything for his diarrhea but yet the doctor sees him and the CNAs change him. No one didn't report it to the doctor or show any concerning about him. That's concerning to me but it has to take the love one to say something and question them what they didn't do as their job description! I can't be there all the time because I'm a caretaker for seniors and does therapy for my own injuries, and conditions. It's ridiculous to me and I pray for them all the time because it can be overwhelming with all the patients but you sign up for this type of job. Nurses don't know much about the person when the love one ask questions about them because Lack of Report to the other nurses about the patient. I'm tired they don't know something because of the Lack of communication. They don't do all of his orders as they suppose to like cream for his ears and eye drops because obviously something wrong with his eye and it's lil to them because one nurse actually said about me to other nurses when I was there "it's only eye drops, I thought she was talking about something serious" if it was u nurse u would make sure to do everything what the doctor prescribe u because it's a problem right! I'm tired of some of their attitudes because he didn't ask to be here. I chose this facility because 1. It's mostly black people so I thought it was black owned company there with a few other race there and that's fine and 2. They had 5 star rating but unfortunately, I got tricked because the actual social worker from Jefferson hospital told me and my family that they change their name because it was bad. They are still tulip special care but with a different name and you have to keep up what they are doing for your love one or else let them suffer. I don't think sometimes they don't read their chart because I seen the nurse put eye drops in both eyes when it only said one eye which is the right eyes. Overall with everything, they do have a few genuinely agency nurse & CNA there that care about my love one and do their best to be there for him when he's nonverbal, needs to be changed, have no problem talking to me about updates and respect me as a concern, thorough, helpful and caring family member for my love one. I give the praise to the ones who are really good to my Uncle and thank you. The owner should talk to the agency nurse and CNA about their needs to be for the nursing home. They also needs to hire staff for that facility instead of getting agency nurse and CNA who don't pay attention to things. All the patients is counting on them to get them better. It's Your Job that U CHOOSE TO DEAL WITH COMPETITIVE PATIENTS. Someone needs to talk to the nurses and needs to communicate with other nurse about the patient so when the patient love one comes there, the nurse will have the...
Read moreThe one star is for Serena, who has been wonderful in helping my mom during her stay. However, the facility is always understaffed, most staff members are very rude, and never around when needed. I’m sure I’ll receive feedback from the facility below telling me to call with concerns, but I have called. Several times. Either no one answers, or they schedule phone meetings that are missed. Not cancelled, simply ignored. I’m never updated on my mom’s care or progress, and even when I directly ask the staff in person, no one knows anything. I’m also convinced the 5 star ratings are from staff or their family, because no one would rate this facility that high if their loved one were actually there receiving poor care. Avoid this facility if at all possible. We had no choice,...
Read moreThe quality of care here is very poor. This facility has been rated one star per Medicare. They’re constantly understaffed. The staff are unprofessional. Two nurses yelled at my father just because he asked multiple times for my mom’s dressings to be changed because they had been soiled. The nurses plus other staff then sat around the nurses station talking about us and laughing at us. Other nurses including the director of nursing have given us attitude if we dare ask any questions or updates. We’re only asking for bare minimum of care for our family member but apparently, we’re doing too much. If you can, avoid...
