Read moreIt did not take long but this place has become an essential East Falls business. During the depths of the paper towel shortage, these guys always had a couple rolls for sale. The weather got nicer, they added a garden center, with plants, tools and the finest PA cedar mulch money can buy. They have the meats from the Saturday farmer's market in their freezer so you don't have to worry about space in yours. one story which has quickly become legend a mother needed something, they went out and GOT IT FOR HER THAT DAY.
Yes, the prices are slightly higher than the MEGAL-O-MART but this is the choice we are all going to have to make going forward. There is price bottom penny gauging or there is local quality using local supply chains. Some people don't want to shop among 300 people in a big box environment, they go to the NouVaux market.

I came in for a quick, cheap hoagie (nothing out of the ordinary) and he felt the need to inquire about my spending habits and that I might not be inclined to keep coming back once they raise prices. As I was walking to the checkout counter I heard him mutter something under his breath which I can only assume was directed towards me.
I have had many pleasant conversations with this gentleman in the past so perhaps he was just having a bad day. That being said, it was incredibly rude and made me uneasy to come back in the future.
