Beer Distributor - Philly Beverages — Local services in Philadelphia

I'm basically here every week. No...not because Im an alcoholic, but because if I find good business/service, I will continue to go. As a West Philly native, this is one of the only local beer distributors in my neighborhood that have a very broad selection, great location, consistently good customer service, and fair pricing (notice I did not say cheap) People want beer for cheap, but honestly the price you pay does not guarantee good or consistent service or stock. It's not a papi store it's a well run business. Everytime I go, the couple thay owns it are always sweet and helpful. I don't go anywhere else for my beer/cider/seltzer needs! We needed multiple large bags of ice for a late Sunday afternoon party & I was concerned that any beer distributer contacted might not have enough inventory due to the time of the party.

Philly Beverages reassured me that ice would be available & asked that I contact the store the day before the party with the final count of bags required.

I did this along with the pickup time and again was reassured that ice would be available for anytime needed.

Philly Beverages eliminated any anxiety I had and everything occurred seamlessly!

This is not a beer distributor. It’s an overpriced beer store. Beer distributors usually have better prices. You know what’s funny? The fact that not a single one of these previous reviews said anything about how expensive the beer is in this place. It’s a 25% mark up on most of them. I paid 16.56 tonight for a craft 6 pack that was either over taxed or he lied about the base price. It’s $12 anywhere else. Either way the clerk has the personality of a styrofoam cup.
