Italian Express — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Will never be ordering from here again. I was a regular; ordered the same thing and pretty frequently. Today I call for a chicken cheesesteak with green peppers. Every single time I order this; the chef takes their own initiative and adds onions to my sandwich. Usually I swallow the disappointment and I won’t make a fuss—but after having this happen so often; I called and let them know of the mistake. Guy on the phone said they would send me a replacement and to not eat the original; which was still unscathed. I waited a half hour; called back for them to then again say “We are sending it out in 5 minutes.” (After they were already supposed to send one following the FIRST call). Waited almost another half hour and my sandwich in question arrives and it is still wrong. Half tossed unseasoned chicken with no cheese and with pickled, vinegar soaked, jar peppers is what I got. Still the wrong order. Oh, and; this happened within two hours nearly and by the end of the ordeal it was closing time, so there is still no solution for me. This restaurant is located in an up-and-coming neighborhood in North Philadelphia known as Brewerytown. It is small, four or five tables on the left and rows of food and cooking on the right

The food seems to be freshly made by the restaurant staff. Although it's known as the Italian Express, there's not an Italian within a couple of miles of that place! The food is always exceptionally delicious and seems homemade.the food is the kind of food you would want to have for dinner such as baked chicken eggplant parmesan spaghetti and meatballs and the like. there's always freshly cooked delicious vegetables available that comes with the food or can be purchased as a side item. Additionally, as the name implies, they serve excellent pizza food.

Since I hadn't eaten lunch by the early afternoon and had some time beforei getting my hair done, I wanted something quick and easy to eat. Saw this place on the corner and decided to give it a try.

They were quick to take my order a few minutes after I walked in since the cashier was helping one other person. I ordered two BBQ Chicken slices with a Fruit Punch Jarritos. Once a few minutes passed from them putting the slices in the oven, I was heading out the door - they are takeout and delivery only right now (can't sit and eat in there). Will say, the slices are a very good size and tasted good. I appreciate pizzerias that have the specialty pizzas with fresh, good sized ingredients (not tiny pieces of chicken.
