Rodin College House — Local services in Philadelphia

Terrible place. I lived alone and had a necklace, a $60+ bottle of hairspray, a vase, and probably more, stolen from my room in a matter of 2 months by maintenance crew who came and went from the apt whenever they pleased. Happened to everyone on my floor. Multiple complaints were sent to Penn only to be ignored. Friends at both Sansom Place(s) complained of similar experiences - theft and multiple unauthorized entries. At one point caught a maintenance worker casually strolling around my place snooping around while I was taking a shower. When confronted what he was doing in my room he just shrugged and said: "haha sorry!" (???!) No feeling of privacy nor safety. The 2.5 months I was there (summer term) building-wide fire alarm system went off 3 times between the hours of 2-4 am and once around 8 am. Best advice to my fellow Quakers: live off campus or seek another College House. OR get multiple roommates to make the brake n entry more uncomfortable. The Rodin spirit + perks may be awesome but if you value privacy, feeling of safety, and ability to bring & keep your personal belongings this (& Sansom) is NOT the...
