The Crane is a very nice building. It's not without its issues that any newer building of this size will have, but the maintenance team is very quick to respond and the management are quick to rectify any issues that might come up. Part of the charm of the building is that it's also home to the Chinatown Community Center on the 2nd floor, so there is always some activity going on. With rooftop access that has a beautiful view of the city and fire pits and grills, time dedicated to residents with the basketball court, and a reasonable gym included with rent, I'm happy to live here. I am also a fan of Fran, the person in charge of maintenance. He's great and while I can't speak for everyone's pets, I know my cat loves him.

Choosing a place to call home is a tough choice, even if its temporary. Crane is a relatively new building with new appliances. The building also features nice add-on amenities for the busy bee's. I recommend looking into your parking options if you drive, free parking is limited in this neighborhood. (There is a friendly monthly lot next door). The building allows pets. What really sold us was ultimately the team. They are really welcoming and professional. It's important to know who is taking care of you and this team is dedicated. We love it here!

This 54-ft tall mural on the side of The Crane building is one of my favorites in Philly. Dedicated in 2023, the mural was painted by 3 artists plus 100 community volunteers, under the auspices of Mural Arts. The mural is a tribute to the history and resilience of Chinatown. It features symbols of Chinese heritage from cranes, lanterns and scrolls to the creation of the Friendship Gate. The mural's hopeful title is The Past Supporting the Future.

Meh. I really wanted to love this building. But aside from my particular unit & the views there are some issues with the property that I just can no longer ignore. First off I moved here in July and was promised that within a few weeks the lobby would be redone, decorated and not look like ā€œa hospitalā€ were the exact words that the woman that gave me the tour used. However, it is now November and the lobby still looks completely the same. Most buildings in center city have very modern and welcoming lobbies. Theres a community center attached to the building and even they have a nice piano plus artwork to give a better feel when entering. However the residents entrance still looks lifeless with cheap furniture and literally not even a single piece of artwork to make it look more welcoming. They did add a coffee maker (for a fee) which is nice, but the lobby still looks very cold and not up to standards compared to other downtown buildings. Secondly, the trash chutes are down at least 5 out of 7 days of the week, which means us residents have to keep all garbage in our units until someone unclogs it, just for it to be down the very next day. Super frustrating especially considering there’s no dumpster either. So basically you’re stuck with trash in your apartment. Instead of management apologizing for this inconvenience they send out condescending email blasts to inform the residents that they must keep garbage in their units or else they will be fined. Super professional! Another thing, I live 4 floors above the gym & still constantly hear weights dropping at all hours of the night. How is that even possible? Not sure. As far as packages go, I’ve had several packages delivered and when I get home In the evening from work the packages are nowhere to be found, I have to wait until the next morning because front desk locked them in the office and didn’t even notify me that anything came. Not cool. I also had issues with my water not getting hot the first few weeks of moving in, luckily that was resolved. However the rest of the issues are still ongoing with no sign of improvement & I’ve been quite patient. I understand that with a new construction building comes growing pains but for the cost of these units, these problems really shouldn’t be happening. Ashley in the office & the young man at the desk are both very kind & welcoming, so I will add a star for that. The rest of the issues I hope get solved promptly as I am already beginning to anticipate my lease ending, and I’ve only been here a little...

My wife and I just moved out of Crane Chinatown and we spent a wonderful year here. It is one block removed from the vibrant shops and restaurants of Chinatown yet set apart and quiet. The immediate neighborhood looks trashy at first sight but it always felt safe, even late at night as the area is very well-lit, the homeless people in the area were never aggressive or threatening, and we routinely walked to Old City or the Rittenhouse area, with never a need for a car., especially given the proximity of Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. The building itself is beautiful and solid, it felt like luxury at mid-level prices. Every apartment seems to have the floor-to-ceiling windows with effective soundproofing that we did, and the view from the rooftop deck, with its grill, couches, and fire pits, has got to be one of the best in the city, it took my breath away every time. The rooms were spacious and airy, water pressure is good, W/D is a nice touch even if it takes a while especially to dry, the gym is maintained and usually empty, and the residents were all quiet and friendly: it is the kind of place where everyone in the elevator says have a good day. Some reviewers were unhappy with the new management, but I found them extremely professional and responsive. It took them 2-3 months to get up to speed after suddenly taking over from Bozzuto, but once all the info had finally been migrated over, they hired some wonderful people as doormen, they reinstituted the social events from before, and they even supplied the many dogs in the building with some expensive-looking treats. When I had neglected to provide my forwarding address for my security deposit, Nancy in the front office took the initiative to call me within a week of moving out. And the only time I needed to put in a maintenance request, to replace the battery on my door lock, Harold was literally at my door within ten minutes. My wife and I have lived in many apartments over the years, and the Crane is one of...

Got a package that was delivered on March 18, after raising the issue of package not found in the mail room. The management took 2 weeks to review, even following up everyday with them, they try to dodge any answers towards my package missing question.

However they said they reviewed the footage and didn't find anything, I mentioned that I would also want to review the footage, since the package was delivered and can see the package position clearly in the mail room right under the camera. I told them if you could see the package then it is extremely easy to track down who exactly stole me package.

They gave an ridiculous reply saying it was a very tedious process despite taking two whole weeks with me following it up almost everyday and refuses to let me check the footage, and they also stated that they DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO DEAL WITH MY PACKAGE STOLEN ISSUE, and just want the police to take care of it.

What???

The management of this apartment seems to went downhill after Bozzuto left and was taken by ReinholdResidential. I have never had any issues or have to deal with package loss from Bozzuto for a whole year, but merely 2 month they took over this place, there is package loss already and they don't seem to...
