The Linden University City — Local services in Philadelphia

I had the opportunity to stop by yesterday and take a tour. I wasn't sure about the building as it is new which isn't always a guarantee of quality. I was presently surprised by both the apartments and the gym. The price was concerning but I feel that it is bargain for everything it comes with (gym, lounge, work room etc.). Most of the other buildings I toured didn't offer all 3 or didn't have them as updated (and for the price range this place is in, it's a steal). If you're looking for a townhouse, sorry but it's an apartment... get used to it. You pay a premium for luxury and the amenities are a luxury to have. Not usual this side of the city, most of the places are either super "kid" oriented (Im not a college kid) or there just kinda dated and it shows. I still have some places to see but it's a solid contender.

--UPDATE: I chose to live at the linden based on the location and the units. Ignore the haters and live like a king LOL. Can't wait to move...

These apartments are far from luxury. The units are tiny and come with bottom-of-the-line amenities. The gym costs extra per month, and the high rent is not justified by the basic views and features. There is no privacy film on the windows, so if you want to enjoy "the views," you also have to be okay with everyone around being able to see you as well. This place seems to prey on people unfamiliar with the area, offering way too many add-ons for everything you want to access. They charge both a pet deposit and monthly rent for pets, whereas most places only charge one or the other. There are much better and cheaper options with superior amenities elsewhere. Touring here felt like a waste of time. Dan, the leasing agent, was nice, but it's unfortunate that he has the job to rent out these...
