I get nervous about going to new places because I get nervous about speaking to new people. However, both Tammy and Al made me feel very comfortable as I was browsing. Al answered all my questions even if they were silly questions, and they let me browse without bothering me. They are pretty friendly people and the shop has loads of beads to choose from. The more expensive semi-precious beads are located under glass or behind the counter, the seed beads are located on top of each aisle divider (within reach), and there are various beads hanging on each aisle divider. All the beads are organized well and are quality. The prices are great! I saved $100 by buying from Al's instead of my usual Etsy shop.
The only note I would make for someone who uses seed beads often is this: the seed beads that I saw were not uniform like TOHO or Miyuki beads, but they are good quality. This is not a negative comment, just something to be aware of if you like seed beads.
Highly recommend, I will be...
Read moreSuper awesome bead store! I took a visit to just browse yesterday and ended up leaving with way more than I thought I’d buy, the selection is amazing! The service is great, the owners are super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Yesterday when I went I forgot my glasses and the owner was so friendly as to allow me to step behind the counter and take my time to get a better view at everything I was purchasing. That made me happy because it made my trip so much easier. At first I thought it was pricey, mostly cus I didn’t stop by with the intention of buying anything lol. But I make beaded jewelry (mostly bracelets) and sell them for $10 each. And I already surpassed the amount of bracelets in orders that will make my money back. And still have sooooo many beads to continue making more! So I’m happy with my purchase. Definitely returning when...
Read moreI was extremely shocked to find out that the lady that helped was extremely rude to my mom and myself (my mom is 90yrs old, she’s buying beads from Al’s, to make necklaces for many years), the reason for my recommending my son to get take a bracelet for repair. I was upset because I noticed the repairs were done horribly so I emphasized that to her she told me, I was not welcome to visit their store ever again and while we were at it she said to my 90 year old mother also. My mom was extremely confused, in our culture we don’t hold such hatred, we do everything we can to please our customers, when they are not satisfied with a service. I don’t not recommend this store for shopping for beads, there are other stores that do a better job and more pleasant to shop and more...
