My wife and I had a great morning out at Arizona Grand Golf Course and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. We booked a tee time and found the price to be very reasonable, especially considering the course’s great location in Phoenix right off the freeway, its excellent condition, and the unique, fun layout. Each hole brought its own challenge, which made the round exciting and not to the point where you feel defeated on the level of difficulty. I especially appreciated how wide the fairways were on most holes, giving some breathing room off the tee, while the greens added a good level of difficulty with their placement and design. The service was top-notch all around. From the gentleman who greeted us and took our clubs, to the friendly staff in the pro shop, to the helpful starter who gave us great insight into the course—and even got us out a little early without crowding the tee sheet. The cart attendant was also fantastic, making her rounds regularly and keeping us stocked with drinks and snacks, adding to the overall experience. The course itself was beautiful, and the weather couldn’t have been better. The views of the valley from several holes made it feel like we were playing in a desert oasis. We can’t wait to come back and play it again!

Absolutely the WORST golf experience I have had in recent memory. Only reason I can give it 2 stars is there are some cool views on the back 9. We teed off at 1pm on Friday 2/10 and only finished 14 holes… Front 9 took 2 hours and 58 minutes. We waited on every tee box, sometimes with multiple groups in front of us still on the tee box. Absolute insanity. There was a line of maybe 20 carts pulling in from the course all frustrated that they did not finish their round. A 6+ hour round is unacceptable. Come to find out, the Ranger with white hair spilled the beans and told us they went to tee times every 5 minutes all morning to bank on the crowds in town for the super bowl and WM Open. He also said they charge $50 on a weekend peak season. We paid $175 and did not even finish!!! ROBBERY! This course is not worth $75 let alone $175. Tee boxes were beat to hell and many greens had huge areas of dead/no grass. Never visit this place. No integrity from anyone there. Extremely disappointed with Arizona Grand.

Well groomed, full 18 hole course. Lovely views. Staff is welcoming and friendly. A lot of cart restrictions, so if you play left you won’t have to walk much. Some challenging elevated tee shots. Some uphill shots with awesome hazards. Hole 18 is a good tee shot to pause and soak in the moment. Not a lot of shade but carts come with small coolers and a Bluetooth system; ice is supplied. Cart girl very sweet and checks on you about every 3-4 holes. I definitely could see a rattlesnake problem depending on the time of year; if you hit off right it’s probably best to just sacrifice the ball. Pretty spendy during season I’d imagine. $50.00 per player with cart end of July. All in including lost balls, non alcoholic drinks about $80.00. Took about 4-4.5 hours. A lot of walking.

Great golf course, lovely check in staff (on a personable level) EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL - DO NOT STAY HERE THERE ARE ENDLESS CHOICES OF MUCH BETTER HOTELS FOR THE SAME PRICE OR LESS I don’t even know where to begin. Some lowlights include a thug letting himself into our room with a master key card, plasters on his knuckles. Thankfully I had the chain on the door so he couldn’t come in. I’m a big enough guy to put someone in their place, I repeatedly asked him what he was doing, he said that his boss told him not to enter the room without knocking or permission, repeatedly, so he could not explain why he was entering the room without knocking or permission when I asked him repeatedly. The rooms on the website ARE NOTHING LIKE THE ROOMS ON SITE. The pictures are amazing, the rooms are terrible, the staff are absolutely useless and rude. This hotel is full of kids stopping off here for sports tournaments UNDERAGE DRINKING AND PARTYING THROUGH THE NIGHT… We stayed here a week before Christmas and left the day after Christmas AND THERE WAS NO ROOM SERVICE FROM 22ND DECEMBER TO 25TH DECEMBER. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DOESN’T PLAN FOR THE FACT THAT GUESTS STAYING IN THE FESTIVE PERIOD WONT WANT OR NEED ROOM SERVICE. Their “covid policy” of not cleaning rooms or providing housekeeping of any standards is UTTERLY ATROCIOUS. You get way better service at a motel. All in all, there was not a singular redeeming quality of this hotel or stay. It’s only a matter of time before they go out of business terrible business practice. Terrible rooms. Uncomfortable beds. Terrible staff. We tipped everyone ridiculously well and treated everyone with utmost respect despite the treatment we received and the terrified last few nights after the thug ;who was wearing a uniform) tried to enter our room without it warning. Hotel staff did nothing. Just caused headaches on headaches. We’re good people, being good people regardless of how we’re treated trying to have a nice time and spread joy. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL unless you want to spend money and he confronted endlessly by absolute a**holes. No offer of help. No offer of compensation. No apology or accepting of wrongdoing. Just endless headaches and to top it off an unattended bellboy room with luggage unattended and valet keys unattended for over an hour when I was trying to drop my bags off. The golf course looks nice though…. I can’t seem to edit the body of this review but I can add to the bottom. Another note on the “covid cleaning policy” IF I WANTED TO CLEAN MY OWN ROOM FOR 5 DAYS ID HAVE STAYED AT HOME. Absolutely shockingly abysmal and ludicrous. I’ve been staying in hotels on average 50 nights per year over 20 years for work and I have never been so outraged in my life before. I strive to leave great reviews and a spotless digital footprint BUT THIS PLACE AND ALL OF ITS STAFF NEEDS TO BE CALLED OUT FOR WHAT IT IS. I hope this review will be seen by at least one person who reconsiders staying here and my energies would have been worth it. Good people, go elsewhere. This is not the...

I stayed at the Arizona Grand Resort from Wednesday, June 14, 2012- Tuesday June 19, 2012. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable, but it had its downsides. When we arrived, we were assigned a room that was as far away from the water park as one could get. We found out out that in order to get closer to the Oasis Water Park, we had to pay $25 extra per night. This scam is called a bait and switch. They gave us one price, then they tacked on an extra $25 a night to be closer to the park. After we got assigned the new room, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful bellman. He helped us unload our car(we drove by car) and take everything up to our room. When we looked out of our french doors leading to the balcony and noticed that there was trash (i.e cigarette butts, dirty napkins etc.) and bird scat that hadn't been attended to for a very long time. Other than that, our room was perfectly clean and equipped with a mini-bar, in which every mother we talked to wished was not in the room. Families need a fridge, not a bar. Every family also wished that a microwave was in the room too. The room had one queen-sized bed and a fold out couch bed which were both very comfortable. The room had a bedroom and a living room, each equipped with a TV. The TVs in both rooms were very small. The TV in the bedroom was a joke because it was only a little bigger than a 17" laptop screen. The TVs were also not flat-screens, which was a big shock. On the day after arrival, we went to the fitness facility which was excellent with many staff members on call to help you with the equipment if you needed it. After that, we went to the Oasis Water Park, in which you had to pay more than it was worth to get in. There were three water slides, a lazy river and a wave pool. You had to pay $40 a day for the water park (resort fee) and you weren't allowed to bring any of your own food or drinks in, except for water! That was a rip-off! When we got back to the room at 5:00 P.M., our room hadn't been cleaned by the maids yet so we called to get it cleaned. They told us they would clean it at 6:15 P.M., 15 minutes after we left for dinner. When we got back at 8:00 P.M., our room still HAD NOT been cleaned. Other then the first time, the maid service was excellent. Then we tried to boot up the Wi-Fi. If you could actually get a steady connection, it was slow and disconnected often. The maximum connection was around two bars out of five on a PC. Over the next few days, the Wi-Fi disconnected constantly. We were not able to use the golf course unless we got out on it at 6:00 A.M. or else it was too hot. Overall, our stay was pretty enjoyable. I would rate this hotel...

Got a "Hot Deal" on Golfnow for $25. Regular green fees at this same time ran from $50-$60. Got checked in and right off the bat, the attendant wasn't very friendly.

Went inside and asked about the driving range and free practice balls as stated on the Hot Deal and was told the driving range was closed as they were working on it. When I asked where the putting green was, they pointed me over to a tiny island with only 3 holes in it where two other golfers were already using 2 of them.

Had 10 minutes before our tee time and the starter asked us if we were ready to go. I asked him if I had time to run in and get a couple beers first as we still had 10 minutes. He looked at me like I just asked him to pay for it. Again, not very friendly.

Went inside and asked what kind of beers they had and was told that they were over there in the drink cooler. Walked over there and saw my choices were: Bud light, Coors light and Lite. SMH. This is supposed to be a nice course/resort right?

Started our round and the course in and of itself was in decent shape. It is a fun and challenging course. But the lack of signs at 70-80% of the forks made it difficult to know which way to go. Also, the tee boxes were uneven and the difference between some tee boxes was only like 10 feet?

After about the 3rd or 4th hole, the pace of play became very slow. By the 11th hole, we were consistently waiting to tee off and chatting with the golfers behind us, who were done with their last hole.

My buddy when to use the bathroom and they were locked. When he asked one of the rangers there, he said the key is with the cart key and "it says so right on there." Really? Where the hell are we playing? I have never played a course where the bathrooms were locked. It wasn't a huge deal but the attitude of the ranger was terrible.

The sad thing about it is that I was pretty excited to play this course as I was under the impression it was a really nice one. While the course itself was fun and challenging, the lack of basic detail and poor customer service made it a lot less enjoyable than it should have been.

The one bright spot was the beer cart girl. She was very friendly and nice. Everyone else there should take customer service lessons from her.

Fortunately, there are a lot of golf courses in the valley that get it right. We had played The Raven (which is not far from this course), a couple weeks before and had a great time. We'll not be returning to this course in the near future which is a shame because the course itself was...
