DO NOT EAT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This includes the drive-thru.
You'll be saving yourself from what could potentially be the worst fast food experience of your life. This is for only this one location, as I've been to other Burger Kings and had no problems at all. I went through the drive-thru at a little after 3pm. I could see inside the lobby and it was virtually empty. Aside from the car in front of me, there was no other customer in sight. I ordered my burger and fries, along with a combo meal for a friend, and upon ordering was told in a short, audibly annoyed voice, "Next window". At the window I was told the total was over $20, which surprised me. Apparently I didn't realize how expensive Burger King had become. I got the food and headed towards the freeway to start the traffic fight home, as it was now well after 3pm and the traffic was already thick. I took a swig of my Sprite, and my mouth was greeted with a flat, watery, uncarbonated version of what tasted like tap water with a squirt of Coke syrup in it. To call it disgusting would be praising it compared to what it really was. I looked in the bag to grab some fries and naturally, they had left out an order. I started in on the burger, and thankfully it was edible. Looking in the bag for a napkin to use to wipe the grease off of my hand turned up zero. Mistakes happen, but this was too many to just shrug off. I called the restaurant (for lack of a more fitting term) and the Male voice on the other end said, "yeah... ok. Come back for your fries." It took me 15-20 minutes of driving slower than foot traffic, to get back to Burger King. I explained who I was, what happened, and the guy working up front said one word in response to my recounting of what happened; "Okay". I stood waiting in the empty restaurant for almost 10 minutes... waiting for the fries to cook. The only sign of life was the blatant flirtation going on between the "okay" guy and the girl who took my order... both standing next to each other with their backs to me. The girl finally brought what looked like Sprite, and set it on the counter without a word. As I could feel myself getting close to exploding in a tirade of verbal filth and aggression that would likely get the authorities involved, Mr. "okay" brought my fries to the counter. He set them in front of me and walked away. I said, loudly enough for hopefully someone to hear, "You know, when I mess up, I at least apologize!". This was responded to by the young man with, "Oh... have a nice day". I looked at him in disbelief.... having been nothing but courteous to this point, despite the opposite from them. I said "It may not have been you personally, but don't you think someone should apologize after screwing up this much?" He finally murmured "Sorry", and I left... reminding myself continuously on the walk back to my car that I was young and dumb once too. Granted, at my worst I was never even close to being as discourteous and rude as the staff at the Burger King by Fry's Electronics in Tempe.
Every person I know; family, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, random strangers on the street.... I'm telling all... "AVOID THIS BURGER KING...
Read moreKICKED OUT?!?! I recently gave this store a great review, because the staff was very cool, but today, I got kicked out, by the manager named Victor. I could tell something was off with this guy... faux alpha male personality (proof... the water menu button wasn’t on the machine last night after he was doing something to it with programming, asked him about it earlier told me.... it’s working in a curt tone! Told him it’s not, but wouldn’t address it HUGE ATTITUDE ISSUES). I’m a traveler and have been to many Burger Kings across the USA and have had great experiences. His reason for kicking me out was I was sitting in their cove with my legs up on the table relaxing (not my shoes mind you). Asked me to take them off, no problem, it’s their place, I respect that, but then tells me I have to leave, can’t be here all day or he’ll call the police! What? Why because I challenged you? Yep!!! I said, if I was a businessman would you do the same? Said yes (keep in mind I buy many food and drink products while I’m there, I don’t just sit there), yet yesterday a family of five sat in this same cove for over 6 hours! He didn’t address them!!! It’s apparent that the way I looked was the reason he kicked me out. I’ll never eat at this location again. To bad too, because the assistant manager and many of the staff are cool. Victor is not! UPDATE.... well what do you know... appears Victors last name might be Lopez (sure looks like him) and he’s got a 5 star review on here... priceless... lol. UPDATE; called corporate and submitted complaint, so hopefully this guy is either...
Read moreI was so excited when this place opened because I really like BK and this would be right on my way home from shopping, etc....The first few times we went I was pleased, impressed even. They were polite, prompt, and seemed to always get my order right. HOWEVER, the more I go there, the worse it gets. It started simple... putting ice in the drinks when I said 'no ice.' Then it progressed to not listening to my order making me repeat myself 2, 3, even 4 times. I have a lot of patience, but that was broken last weekend when I went to the drive thru the at 5:11 pm and waited 30 minutes to get my food, watching as the employees messed up the orders for AT LEAST the two cars directly in front of me (they literally took nearly 15 minutes on one of them). All I ordered was two drinks, but when I got to the window the girl said my total was 26-something! I said, "for two drinks!?". And her excuse for the drive through taking 30 minutes was "They're really busy in there.". I'm sorry but that's NO EXCUSE for getting EVERYONE'S order wrong and delaying your customers that much!!! Besides, there was only a handful of cars in the lot...how slow do they have to be in order to do their jobs right!?!?!? We submitted a complaint about the whole thing to corporate, so hopefully they will do something about it. We are supposed to be contacted by the store's management with how they plan on correcting the...
