Went in there looking for advice and to buy a new piece and charm. My husband and toddler were with me. The regular woman who helps me was with another customer. I had a taller, older blonde woman come over to help. I only use the brighten jewelry cleaner on my pieces. I noticed that one of my favorite pieces is tarnishing and not cleaning anymore. She told me that they have a new cleaner now and that I should probably throw out that old one. Yes, I do wear this piece often as it is one of my favorites. She then kept saying, perfumes, lotion, and my skin probably corroded it. While looking at charms on their display case, I was showing one to my daughter and the woman came over and was brisk about my daughter not leaning on the shelf. I apologized and tried to go back to looking and woman kept saying all the reasons my necklace was ruined was because of my skin. It got to the point where I just wanted to be left alone to look but she was giving a negative presence like my family and I weren’t wanted in there. I decided to not buy and we left. They refused my return with the receipt, merchandise and the original packaging with labels repeating that i got it “at the airport”! Condescending, ugly, manager who would not accept the fact that my credit card had some suspicious charges and was just cancelled a few days ago. I offered to use a bank card instead to put my credit money back. They would not do it! It is not in their policy! I had to accept a store card or get out of there. She told me “Sit outside”! In 100F! And they had a few nice chairs back in the store! I told her my dog was sick and I do not wish to deal with this issue - no compassion! Enjoyed my shopping at Brighton, there products are good quality plated jewelry that last a life time, the detail to there products is good and the service is excellent. The Staff are really friendly and always on the look out to help. Loved the packaging! Susan was very good and kind.
