Amazing potential, terrible practices. Unfortunately due to property owners that are price gouging out the businesses here, we are losing the best places of the Quarter. High-end chain stores are able to pay these crazy prices, and because of that they won’t even negotiate rent prices with smaller places that have been responsible for creating a great community and experience at the Quarter. Great place to walk around, still some good places left (like Sorso Wine Room, Liz Modern Asian, and Obon), but if they keep going at this rate, the Quarter will be full of empty high-end chains that most families that visit the quarter won’t be interested in. Not to mention it’s been constantly filled with vacancies and construction this entire year because of the turnover in businesses not able to pay these prices.
The location of Scottsdale Quarter itself puts on amazing free events, has an amazing cleaning staff, and a great setting, it’s just unfortunate that greedy landlords have the power to ruin the business-side of...
Read moreWent to Eddie V's, and now we go there almost once a week. The food is spectacular and before a celebration dinner, they brought us out these complimentary salt and pepper shrimp and a card signed by them for the event and I think they may like us, so no guarantees, but we got a free desert plate. And since I am a major chocoholic I actually cried. If they were feeling generous and it was a happy accident because I felt so catered to and spoiled and the surprise app and desert was like they knew us and now we order tons of salt and pepper shrimp, but they have a Chile sauce on them so the name doesn't fit these Firecrackers, the King crab legs are phenomenal and the steaks melt in your mouth. Some nights they do have louder bands, but even if you can't hear each other, that's ok. That means the food...
Read moreScottsdale Quarter has a great selection of shops and restaurants, and the overall concept is really appealing. However, the movie theater now feels like a rundown afterthought. What used to be a nice, enjoyable theater experience now seems creepy and poorly maintained.
On top of that, the parking situation is a nightmare. There are garages at either end of the complex, but they are not conveniently located, and trying to find a parking spot is frustrating. For a place that wants to feel upscale and modern, they really need to reinvest in both the entertainment experience and the infrastructure.
There is still a lot to enjoy at Scottsdale Quarter if you are shopping or grabbing a bite, but if you’re expecting a seamless, premium experience across the board, just know it falls short in a...
