RACISTS! my wife and my 3 YRold daughter to Michaels to pick up some Gel Pens anf art paper for my wife. My daughter picked out some Acrylic Paint Set for kidz.As we entered the store it was nicely organized but once the.employees came out from the.aisles that they were acting like they were organizing or restocking the merchandise but when in fact there were 3 employees 1 tall white young man long blonde hair who.approached me.at first asking me if i needed.help and ask him I'm looking for gel pens where would they be he showed me where they were literally right behind me and I start looking at him I'm picking out a couple different sets that were on my budget for the type of service does gel pens do and so I left that I only down to another aisle and every aisle I went to he was there following me from I'll dial because he obviously thought that I look like I was going to probably still something there or something else I don't know what but it made me feel very uncomfortable that these people would just follows me around the way they were watching everything you do because clearly they've never once seeing us do anything mischievious were illegal in the store. Then there is an older woman and another woman that was the store manager who kept coming up to my wife and I asked me how is there anything we can help out with over and over and over again and we kept telling him know there's nothing that you can do at this time thank you but they were very persistent and very much so wanted to just follow us throughout the store and make us feel uncomfortable but not only that every single time we would see them and make eye contact they would walk up and say is there anything we can help you out with of course there is but looking for gel pens for sure is we're looking for the paper or series we're looking for the supplies or something rather than just being an insult to ask me what I need. What I do need is not to have the whole employees at Michaels follow me around as if I'm going to rip them off or take from them something that was valuable to them because I kid you not ever someone came out of nowhere and made us feel so uncomfortable that I told my wife will never come back here I do like the stuff they have but I don't like the people here is people here are very very rude. It is sad that a beautiful store like that where we enjoyed going to purchase items to do arts and crafts with our kids and my wife likes to color and I like to draw to go to a place I don't want to go anymore because I am fearful that these people who are following me around wood possibly make up a lie stating something I didn't do because they want to follow us around to look for something to put upon us based on what we look like or are ethnicity because literally the minute we walked into the door there was three people literally just following us from everywhere we went and you can tell because I didn't have a shopping cart or anything to draw the unwanted attention since we only wanted afew things. So we finally we're tired of being harassed by their excessive can we help u find find something because honestly they didn't want to help us find anything they wanted us to find the front door and get out of their store because to their judgment we looked the part of Thieves or troublemakers when it's awkward not because I'm actually pastor and my wife is a business owner and just because we are Latinos doesn't give them any entitlement or power to think less of us or to discredit us in ways of embarrassment or everybody else in the store is watching these people follow us that poor Latino family that's here to just buy some things for their family to have a nice weekend and creating pieces together that we can have forever. But now those pieces that we bought will always be a remembrance of the Prejudice and racist people there still are in this world in which we feel sorry for and we pray upon give it to God because those who judge will also be judged and those who lie will also be judged and those who persecute and condemn will...
Read moreEven though this is not the closest Michaels to me, it's my favorite. Attempted to find a few things and if you've been to this particular store, you know, it's quite large. I have to say, and it's consistent at all the Michaels stores, that it's hard to find an employee to ask a question unless you go back up to the cash register, but I got lucky. As I was looking around, I came upon Erin, who was a new employee. She could not have been nicer or more helpful. And if she didn't know where to find what I was looking for she called up front to ask. I have often thought it would be great for all the Michaels stores, because I've been to so many (and even in other states), to hire an employee who knew the store and walked around, maybe wearing a badge that said "Ask Me" or "I'm here to help" and people could ask questions, especially where to find things. If they just had one employee that was hired solely for that job it would be incredibly beneficial. I'm glad I came upon Erin. She was more than helpful and I will look for her again when I go back. Great employee....
Read moreThe store is just fine- some items out of stock and some empty displays but I just had the weirdest interaction with the young lady on the register. She insinuated I pulled the sticker off of a crochet needle and asked if there were others with tags. But the display I picked it out from was labeled on the shelf and none of the crochet needles were individually labeled. She then insisted it was a 'pricey' item - which only served to confuse me as to why she knew it must have been a pricey item but didn't know how the displays in her own store worked. After getting another employee to check and me and her and the line behind me waiting very awkwardly for a few minutes the item came back as $3.67.... at this point she conveniently has nothing to say, not even an apology. Maybe she was having a bad day which I can understand or maybe she should reconsider her career in customer service... If the job sucks that bad that you have to be so rude to customers to make yourself feel better then just...
