First time eating at any cold beers and cheeseburgerslocation. Went for happy hour on a Friday after work. Happy hour prices were pretty reasonable. The All American burger which I ordered was 9.50 a discount of about 5 dollars from its regular price. It comes with chips but for 2 dollars you can substitute for fries or another side. I substituted for fries and this is where I deduct one star. Fries with a burger should be automatic. To charge 2 dollars extra for them to me is disappointing. I get if you want onion rings or something special like that but fries are universal side with a burger and should not have a surcharge to them. The fries were very good however, very hot and crispy. The burger I ordered medium rare because my personal experience in the restaurant business they cook a burger or steak or any meat one level above the customer's request. So although I look medium. If I order medium I'll end up getting medium well. So I always order medium rare and get medium. It came just as I thought medium. My friend ordered medium and his was lot more done than medium. We ordered a few happy hour beers as well and total bill before tip was about 40. All in all I would go back but only for happy hour again due to prices and the surcharge for fries was disappointing.

Called today at 12:30 to make a reservation for my party of 8 at 6:00 pm. I was told they did not accept reservations so I arrived at 5:30 to get a table for my party. I was told by the hostess that it could still be 30 min to an hour before we would get a table. I took a walk around the restaurant just to see the likelihood of getting a table for our group and noticed a booth in the corner that was big enough for our party. When I asked the hostess about it, I was told that an employee took a reservation for that table for 6:30 when they weren’t supposed to. I asked to speak to the manager who confirmed what the hostess said. Apparently the reservation was for someone with corporate and he couldn't do anything about it. So that table sat empty for over an hour waiting for a group that hasn’t yet arrived while my group of 8 was standing around waiting for a table. Our group consisted of 4 couples who live in the neighborhood. We are your regular PAYING customers. Really disappointing that CB&C management doesn’t appreciate that! The manager on duty was extremely apologetic and offered to buy us a drink, but we had already closed out our tab at the bar and we’re on our way out. I did appreciate his attitude towards us....his hands were tied.

Food was good overall, my burger was supposed to be 'red' but was med well to well done. It was still good. My friends turkey burger was excellently prepared. Place was quite noisy between the customer chatter and music playing too loud. Our wait person Courtney S was excellent. My advice...reduce the ambient noise, which made it difficult to talk and our wait person had trouble hearing our order and the cooks on the kitchen should know the difference between rare and well done on the burgers. We would go back based on the overall food prep but my guest said if we came back that he would have to be prepared in advance for the amount of noise generated in the restaurant. I ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer. The portion was generous (but expensive at more than $10) and the side of marinara was slightly burnt. Pricing was good for the main dishes but the appetizers or starters were very expensive overall (hummus and veggies were over $10), really??? Staff was very good to excellent, orders were processed fairly quickly but pricing was uneven. Nearly all appetizers were overpriced. We paid about $55 with tip for one appetizer, and two burgers and water.

I came here for the food. Everything else was fine, the seating, the ability to watch almost any sporting event known to man on all of their screens, our server was good. But i came here for the food primarily and i was left disappointed. It should be stated though that the fried pickles were pretty good.

I ordered the Arizona burger but added on a fried egg because I'm a sane person (fried eggs are an amazing option for almost every burger). So on the Arizona burger there is pepper jack cheese, tomatillo salsa, pico de gallo and green chile...plus my addition of the egg along with the burger itself and a thick bun...

With all of that, i assumed that this burger would have some amount of flavor, but it ended up being one of the saddest burger experiences I've had. When you go to certain establishments you have certain expectations, and mine weren't really that high for Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers. I wasn't expecting McDonald's and i wasn't expecting anything immensely glorious, because lets face it-burgers are easily made to perfection at home.

This burger tasted mainly like the bun, because it was thick and overpowering. Even with a bun like that, i expected to get a punch of flavor from all of the rest of the ingredients but that never happened. The green chile was weak and had no heat and hardly any recognizable flavor, the pepper-jack was extremely mild, and the egg was reduced to a texture element with a runny yolk (which is what i wanted in that regard). To top it all off, the burger was just nearly non-existent in flavor. I realized all of this once i got halfway through my burger-I was searching for the elements i would normally experience with this kind of burger, (which I've definitely made myself) and I shouldn't have to do that, they should be up front.

Maybe change up the bun choice, maybe that'll work, because I can at least say that the artisan bun is too much bread, and not simple enough to let the ingredients it contains get a chance to shine. Burgers should not be this hard to get to work, and if the name of your establishment has the word "cheeseburgers" in your title, you better...

Evey time we place an order online or call it never seems to be done when they specify. We usually wait 10 to 15 minutes but tend to not care because we loved the food. Last time we ordered my girlfriend purposely waited and came in about 5 minutes later so she didn't have to wait. After being told it would be ready soon she waited nearly 15 minutes before checking on the order again. The young lady went to check and told her it would be only a minute before it was done. But that was soon followed by another hostess who told it was going to be awhile. Frustrated at this point my girlfriend friend told them she was running to Walmart to grab something and hoped it would be ready by the time she returned. By the time she returned it had been over 45 minutes since we originally ordered and nearly 30 minutes since she had gotten to the restaurant and still the food was not done. Not only was it not done the hostesses also blatantly ignored while she stood at the hostess desk waiting to ask about the order. After standing there for 5 minutes one of the hostesses, with out a word let alone an apology nor explination, handed her our food. Once arriving home with the food we found the sandwich and fries I had ordered was soggy and nasty like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for over half an hour while her food seemed to be freshly made. For a restaurant to allow food that has been sitting that long, not to mention it was ham with mayo on it, and let it leave with a customer is inexcusable. We put in a review to the website and still have not recieved a phone call or email apologizing or explaining...

For Valentines Day my wife and I planned that I would pick up food from what used to be one of our favorite places to eat instead of going out after I finished work at 7 pm. This turned out to be a bad experience. I arrived at 7:20 pm and they indicated food would be ready at 7:30 so I expected to wait a little bit which was no problem. Nobody was at the front desk, but when I walked in I noticed our order was up on a wall by the front desk, so I grabbed it and left. I got home maybe a few minutes later because we live in walking distance from the restaurant. We took the food out and began eating. The burgers were not even like warm which was a huge disappointment to both me and my wife because if you ever reheat a burger in a microwave, it isn’t as good!! My wife asked for the sweet potato tots and instead received fries. We spent $53.05 for 2 burgers and our order of fried pickles which were still warm but not hot. We then tried calling multiple times for the next couple hours and of course, no answer! Left a message and nobody has called back. It’s now mid afternoon the next day and still nothing. We last went to Hop Dodds on Scottsdale Rd and did the same type of order for pick up and our food was hot, not barely Luke warm. Obviously they must of immediately done our order and let it sit out to cool way down. Do you think we got a response, apology or anything off or back on a next visit? ...
