I’ve had the worst and most frustrating experience at this dermatology office. I have left so many voicemails with no return calls until days later, IF my call was even returned. And when I do get a call back and I answer, their phone just hangs up on me! The office staff is wonderful when I actually get to talk to a real person. But it’s much too difficult to get a hold of anyone, and I end up waiting a whole week at times before I get a call back. Unfortunately I also went through A LOT of frustration, and dealt with very poor communication, from Dr Rubenzik. She’s by far the worst dermatologist I ever had. She did not listen to me as her patient and it seemed like she didn’t do anything unless I kept calling a bunch of times, asking for the same thing over and over again. I had to go through hell with my skin because she didn’t prescribe me Dupixent like I asked on my first visit. I’ve had eczema my entire life, but she didn’t seem to care to hear about my medical history. She acted like she didn’t know what she was doing and didn’t give a crap about me as a patient. I have never experienced idiocracy with a specialist, if you can even call her that. I switched to Dr Luber out of frustration, and if I would have had Dr Luber to begin with, I would have saved time and money. I will say, on a positive note, that the person who has been the MOST helpful, communicable, and caring was Alasia, a medical care coordinator. She went above and beyond to help me get my medication approved, and she’s the only reason why I didn’t leave this dermatologist office right away. I was fortunate to be able to get in for an appointment to get established as a patient with Dr Rubenzik. I had been under the care of an excellent dermatologist for over 20 years. When she had to close her practice due to personal medical reasons, she transitioned the practice to another practice in Scottsdale. I went to see one of the Drs in that practice in September and it was a terrible experience. The doctor was rushed, rude and dismissive. I knew I could not continue there. A family member had been seeing Dr Rubenzik for many years and absolutely loves her. So I made an appointment and just went in a couple of days ago. She has a wonderful bedside manner, did not rush and explained all about her practice to me and processes for making appts when needed. Her support staff was also kind and considerate. As I have had some skin cancers in the past, she explained the best process for keeping on top of everything. She looked at a couple of areas on my face and zapped a number of pre cancers with the liquid nitrogen. I made my next appt with her for a full skin check in a few months. I know she is experienced and very knowledgeable. It is also rare to find a doctor who acts and speaks to patients in such a caring and considerate manner.
