POOR does NOT even begin to explain the service me an my fiancé received from this place!! We are vegetarians an I couldn't stress that enough to both the lady an the man I had spoken to who I had ordered the food over the phone from. I do not know if egg drop soup can be made with veggie broth/stock instead of chicken but I was told it could be done. So after confirming AT LEAST 3 times with the man that they COULD AND WOULD make the egg drop soup with veggie instead of chicken broth/stock, we moved on to order veggie fried rice and an order of cream puffs. AND AGAIN before ending the call "PLEASE MAKE SURE NOOOO MEAT!" "I KNOW" says the man. Food gets here....no utensils (spoons, forks, napkins, chop sticks) so I go get my own which is fine. I open the rice...looks good. So I continued to open the rest of the food. The wontons were next and they as well looked yummy. The egg drop soup (which I was looking forward to having the most) looked delicious as well! Now the real fun...after stressing enough to these people that we are vegetarians they failed to tell us after ordering by the name of CREAM PUFFS that they have crab in them, so we cant eat those! The rice was not all that great. HAYASHI on McDowell and Litchfield is wayyyy better as well as jade over at metro. Anyways the cherry on top of the whole thing was that the soup that I was looking forward to the most WAS MOST DEFINATELY made of chicken NOT veggie broth or stock, I had taken a my first sip of animal in 6 years. the feeling and taste of something wrong came over so I have my mother in law taste it(who does eat meat) and she said it taste how it always taste and NO DIFFERENT than egg drop soup is supposed to or ever does.
Of course I immediately call to speak with a manager to correct the issue and he tells me he is the one who spoke with me and took the order and also had made the soup himself. He assured me that he had made it with veggie broth/ stock and that he had also told me about the imitation crab in the cream puffs. That is the moment I realized they were not going to listen to me and after being told they couldn't (WOULDNT) do anything for me even though I had all the food bagged back up for them, I "threatened" to call corporate for the food and service I had received.
Sounds like the story ends there but that's not quite everything. Being a weekend corporate is not opened so unfortunately I couldn't call right away but I after about an hour I receive a phone call saying the food is gonna be picked up and money returned...10 minutes later theres a knock on the door and I open it to find not the delivery person but the COPS...are you kidding me why the hell are the cops involved...the manager called the cops on us and had told them that he didn't not want us back at the restaurant because of the incident and because I APPARENTLY SAID I WAS GONNA SHOOT THEM!
THE MOST OUTRAGOUS AND DISRESPECTFUL BUSINESS I HAD EVER RECEIVED AT A RESTAURANT IN MY LIFE!
PS I CAN NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE DECOR BECAUSE I WAS NOT IN THE RESTAURANT I HAD...

Read moreIt has an appealing outdoor patio, but it was too hot so we sat inside, which was cluttered with restaurant supplies around the main service area. The really strange thing was that the food we received was nothing like what was described on the menu or pictured on their website. I ordered sesame chicken, and my husband ordered wonton soup. His wontons were really potstickers, which wasn’t a problem for him, just a disappointment. My sesame chicken tasted like orange chicken and wasn’t at all like it was described on the menu. When I told our server let our server know that I received orange chicken, not sesame chicken, she told me told me that their sesame chicken was really orange chicken with no spice. I told her that I don’t like orange chicken, and if there was any a mention of it being orange chicken, I wouldn’t have ordered it. I could not eat it and instead of making real sesame chicken or having me choose another main dish, she offered me a free sushi roll to compensate for the orange chicken I could not eat, but I declined because I do not like sushi. Before she took the full, uneaten plate away, she told me that she took seven dollars off the price (for the food I didn’t order and could not eat). So be careful, you may not get what you ordered from the menu and you will need to pay for it anyway. The egg rolls were...
