Showed up, was told the council of "St. Edward" has deamed shorts are unacceptable from those seeking the Host. To be completely fair, they would have accepted my shorts, considering I didn't live nearby. However, there's nothing Christ-like in such a profound oversight. To put it plainly in scriptural context... Matthew 6:28 Luke 12:22,23. Here... we can only be holy and reverent wearing pants, it seems. I'm pretty sure that pants were first a woman's clothing, so I'm not certain where that's apostolic traditional practices. Might be wrong there. We are fairly certain you wouldn't have seen them on Christ, though!

If you are Catholic you really should attend the Latin Mass at least once. It will help you understand the modern Mass. Buy a cheap Latin missal on Amazon first so you can follow along. (If not, they usually have some to borrow) Like subtitles in a foreign language movie. Like watching a fantastic foreign film, it takes a little work and paying attention. But it will bring you to tears by it's beauty if you let it. Lots of friendly folks at this Church and very safe to attend with good security. I'm not a parishioner. I attend a modern Parish. I love visiting...

This Parish offers mass and confession every day despite having only three priests. The priests are very holy and extremely willing to serve the faithful by any means necessary. They belong to the FSSP, a priestly society that broke away from the SSPX in 1988. Unlike the SSPX, the FSSP is in good standing with Rome and has free permission to offer the Tridentine Mass.
