Manager at this store refused to provide customer service and told customer to go to the webpage when questions were asked about an app "cartwheel" An item rang up more expensive than the price on the sign. Cashier stated that an app was needed. Customer inquired as to where the app can be loaded. Cashier held up his phone and said look I have it and put it down. Customer inquired how a customer was to know an app was needed as no signage was there, and, in fact, many would pay more for the product unknowingly. Cashier said "So". Customer than met with manager to explain concerns that one an app was needed for a stated price without signage indicating such, the cashier not being able explain where to get the app, and, being a big box store, there was little to no signal to download the app. The manager quickly stated that it was "on their webpage" customer pointed out that not only was there no signage stating such on the item nor was the product in the circular. Customer also shared that she is very tech savvy and was having difficulty and expressed concerns about other customers. She was was told that every has it (the app) when, in fact, people behind customer were very confused when overhearing the cashier and customer reference the app. The customer explained that her concern was that at the point of sale, there is nothing to inform a consumer about the app therefore customers in good faith would be purchasing products above stated price as there were no indications anywhere related to the procurement of this item. Customer was then told again to go to the website. This is fraud. It is taking advantage of all customers but especially those that are not tech savvy and those that are not English speaking as the cashier was not bi-lingual. I have never seen a blatantly deceptive practice acknowledged and then blamed on the consumer. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. It may be only this store, investigations are beginning to see how this is handled at other locations. So disappointing as I was a loyal...
Read moreThis Target is a problem. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered on the app for pickup, which the app indicated was operating at that time. Provided all pertinent information regarding car description & placed my order. When I arrived, all pick up stalls were taped off by Target saying pickup not available, so I had to go in and retrieve my order, which was super annoying but not the end of the world. Then today I went inside the store & had a completely full cart of items. Lots of grocery items. Got to the checkout & there are NO open lanes, when I asked, I was told that I'd have to use self checkout because they had no staff available. I'm sorry but don't use self checkout as a general rule & it's completely UNREASONABLE to ask a customer to use self checkout for a full cart of items. So, I unfortunately had to tell the only employee I saw supervising the 2 open self checkout lanes that she'd need to call someone to return my cart full of groceries because I'm just not willing to use self checkout & walked out. It was 11 a.m. on a weekend and there are NO staff? Clearly, there' s a complete lack of leadership in the...
Read moreStarbucks Store: When I entered the store, the worker was in the lobby area chatting. She seemed polite at first and took my order, but did not ask if I needed a printed receipt-despite the fact that I paid using the app.
After receiving my matcha drink and taking a sip, I noticed it had a bitter taste. I politely brought this to her attention and requested a refund. She responded that a refund couldn’t be processed because I didn’t have a printed receipt. This was confusing, as she never offered to provide one, and the drink had been returned.
It’s generally understood that if a product or service doesn’t meet expectations and is returned, a refund should be possible. She did remake the drink but also made a comment suggesting I should be kind to others because we don’t know what they’re going through. While I agree with the sentiment, my request was made respectfully. If I’m dissatisfied with a product, I believe it’s fair to express that-politely and constructively. My intention was never personal, only to...
