Everything you'd dream of having for a spot in the city! A friendly corner Goodwill for discount goods and a Circle K for sweets and drinks. There's a smoke shop tucked round the side of the strip for trinkets and currios to satisfy any afternoons' frivolity. The cool cement awnings provide plentiful shade for shoppers coming and going and privacy for those on foot. An intriguing and entertaining library can be found across the intersection along with a variation of restaurants and fast food joints. Fry's foods graces one of the intersections four corners for the locals convenience and access to Kroger goods. Walgreens pharmacy with drive-through available for mobile customers and intersection totally accessable to the bus routes for shoppers on foot. This place is in sort of a weird part of town ya know? Way way back in the day north Phoenix, as it would've been considered, was sort of where the cowboys and hicks lived. If you were from a different part of town you just didn't go there really. Then it became sort of glitzy and all of a sudden a lot of business and people poured in. Now Phoenix has sprawled so far out in each direction that the area has just become another suburb spot that no one really ever thinks about. I will say, there are some very interesting homeless folks around this particular strip. Some of them juggle, are veterans, are completely insane, and all of them have interesting fashion sense. Went to Goodwill here. The store is pretty clean but at ALL Goodwill stores, there's always lots of broken items. Their prices have gotten ridiculous though. Clothes that have rips and stains shouldn't be put out. Also their prices have gone up significantly. Some already worn items, are priced the same as brand new retail prices. Unacceptable since they're supposed to be helping people who can't afford brand new items. Plus, they always ask when you're checking out, if you want to round up your change or make an additional cash donation. That and prices are...
