Had a horrible experience with this place. I go there all the time. My husband goes there all the time. Today we ordered from their app for delivery as we have done so many times in the past. We were supposed to receive our food at 1:44 PM which was one hour after I had ordered. At 2 o'clock PM I called the store because I did not have my food. I was informed that my food had already been picked up and I asked if they could tell me what time my food had been picked up. They looked up my name and said no. At 2:15 when I still did not have any food, I called back. The worker told me I could cancel the order on the app. I informed the worker that I could not cancel the order on the app because the order said it was already complete. The worker told me to hold on and she would get a manager. She then came back and asked me for my phone number. I gave her my phone number and she said the manager would call me. At 2:57 PM I get a call from a doordash driver saying that they are at the store and they are out of provolone cheese. Remember, I ordered from Goodcents, not DoorDash... I told her I didn't want the food anymore that we already ate because the manager was supposed to call me back so I could cancel my order. I then called the store again, at which time the manager was RUDE, demeaning to me, demeaning to her employees, and after ten minutes of her NOT listening and telling me that if I would stop talking she could try to help me out... she told me my food had already been delivered. I told her she must not be listening to what I'm saying because it was NOT delivered and I just want my money back. Then she told me the food was there and she would have it delivered. She obviously has no listening skills or customer service skills. In the end, she told me she would give me a refund but I would not see it on my account until Monday. So I don't even know if I will actually get the refund because I told her I was going to complain about her. I have literally spent thousands of dollars at this place purchasing lunches, dinners, catering, etc. I will NEVER return as long as this manager is there. No customer or employee should be belittled by a manager. I am disgusted by her behavior and I would NOT recommend anyone to go...
Read moreI want this to be clear that i am having to take the time out of my day to review the sub shop, I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant in my life, if I could score you 0/5 I would. I have been coming to this sub shop for a year every week consitently at least 2 times a week I have a very easy sub that I get everytime I visit good cents as a matter of fact I frequent many goodcents specifically the one around 91st and Bell as well as 51snd Greenway and I have never experienced the unprofessionalism at any of those two chains as I have experienced at this chain. First I want to state the elderly Hispanic lady with the glasses is very nice, when she makes my sandwiches she is always nice and good when she creates them. However when I have to wait for two subs to be created that were ordered by phone before I'm even helped that is ridiculious mind you I attempted to call 5 times the phone was picked up because I could hear the associates in the background and hung up shortly after. 5 times! I walk in and there is only one person in the front making these sandwiches while there are about 3-4 employees in the back talking and laughing not wanting to help me. So I wait about 5m finally I'm greeted(mind you no one is in line) and I'm told they have one more sandwich to make, I finally say I need to leave because I'm late at that point is when they offer to make my sandwich but I can't because I'm going to be late, So thank you Mr. Goodcents for contributing to my lunch less day. Your service is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable. Also I hate having to tell the lady with the red hair and the glasses to change her gloves everytime she makes my sandwich after she scratched her head with her gloves on, it's disgusting. You shop does not help foster brand loyalty, after a year of coming to this chain I will never come her again. I hope the owners read this and I will be calling your corporate office to make...
Read moreUpdated Review 4/29/24 - It's been a while so decided to give Goodcents another shot. Well... sandwich was very bland. I ordered my sub standard dressed (tomato, lettuce, onion, salt, pepper, oregano, oil & vinegar) and I added mayo. Well, it seems that after disecting the sub, they left off most toppings. There seemed to be only lettuce, tomato and onion. Not even the slightest hint of oil, vinegar, oregano and salt. And very obviously no sign of mayo on the dry, mayo-less bread. Goodcents used to be my favorite sub spot. The bread is still the best bread of any sandwich shop in my opinion, however I have noticed a decrease in ingredient quality and sandwich preparation over my last 2 or 3 visits. My last sub had about a pound of lettuce on it, and it was old, wilted, brown lettuce that tasted like dirt. All of my onions were put on one single spot of the sub, so at first I thought they forgot the onions. Nope, they were all just piled up together. The mayo was put only along the crease of the bread so only 1/4 of the sandwich had actual mayo on it. Getting a mouthful of onions and mayo in one bite is kinda off putting. I had to take apart my whole sandwich and put it back together with less lettuce and the onions and mayo spread evenly over the entire sub. They also seem to have stopped cutting subs in half which makes it a bit difficult to eat if you don't have access to a knife to cut it yourself. Like I said, I used to LOVE this place but I've been disappointed in my last few subs. I also feel like the employees are annoyed with customers coming in. Last time I went in to pick up my order, the only words spoken to me were "Name?" after I said I had a pickup. No 'thank you', no 'have a nice day'. Just an awkward feeling that she wanted me gone fast, as I was the only customer in the shop...
