I paid a visit for the 1st time here to this restaurant and here's the run down. In general the atmosphere is good, the service was also good but that's not the issue with this restaurant. The problem is the food. The steak and eggs I ordered and the biscuits and gravy were bland as hell. Lacked any rememberable flavor what so ever. The eggs were greasy, the steak looked like it was braised lightly in water I even asked for it to be medium well but there was no sear no remarkable flavors of any kind it tasted like nothing and it had untrimmed fat and gristle on it. The hash browns that came with it also same thing no seasonings no flavor bland as hell even with the salt and pepper I added to it, it tasted like it was almost mushy in texture. The toast was burnt a bit and the butter they used on it hardly had any merit to the toast it was served on. The biscuits were dry despite the gravy and that also lacked proper flavor even the sausage that was added to it somehow again HAD NO FLAVOR! This was not a rememberable experience for me. The only thing that was nice here was the atmosphere and the service we were provided by the waitress she was respectful. However I did not have it in my heart to disrespect the service despite how awful the food was. I did tip them but not as much as I wanted to. I paid attention to what kind of customers also were served here as well and most 95% of the customers who came in were elderly. I feel like the only reason why the food is not complained about is the fact that the people they mostly serve have no sense of taste or lost the ability to enjoy proper flavors. Bland food is not a good substitute for nutrition. I don't know who is running the kitchen or in control of the kitchen as far as the menu goes but they have no heart in what they do to make a proper good meal an enjoyable experience. The food and it's price was not worth the time of...
Read moreBetween mixed recent reviews of one saying it was bad and the other saying it was good and not a dirty restaurant I decided to check it out. I probably should of heeded word. I went during between breakfast and lunch to try out their food. Service could of been better they were a bit slow and passing by my booth a lot even when I tried to ask them a question a few times the waitress was more focused on other tables I had to wait like 20 mins or more for my food and by the time it hit table I was already disappointed by how it looked the eggs were burnt and crispy underneath, the hash browns lacked any taste it was boring to say the least, the toast was more sufficiently enjoyable then the actual entree. I noticed there was dried up old sauce on the wall and crumbs all over the seat before I sat down including what looked like torn paper or napkin on the floor underneath the table and the salt and pepper shakers had what looked like dry ketchup on it. The smells that came from the kitchen area also smelled like something was burning too I was closer to the kitchen region up front near the little bar they had. Staff seemed gossipy as well behind the counters and bar table area. Bathroom also was not clean there was water all over the toilet and possibly urine on the seat. Didn't spend too long here I just wanted to eat and get out. Felt very uncomfortable and the other reviewer was right it does seem to feed more elderly then a younger generation. I did see 1 kid but the rest was 85% elderly. This place could be better I don't think I'll be taking another trip here I prefer my food to not be bland and boring. Overall atmosphere I would say is average but definitely not clean and much care put into their job. Sorry Alexis...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here for a quick meal before I had to go to work. We ordered the patty melt to share. The menu stated lettuce and tomatoes came on melt. When waitress dropped food off , it did not have any garden on it as she then explained it was a misprint. You might want to inform your guests of that since we would have no other way of knowing. She brings out 2 pieces of lettuce and one slice of tomatoe, knowing he and I were sharing. The bread was toasted and soaked in melted butter. He and I took one bite and couldn't stand to eat any more. The waitress said the Manger wasn't there to comp or void anything. 🤔 I found it hard to believe that not one person there wouldn't have the authority to void or comp. She gave us the senior citizen discount which isn't much. Not sure If she was trying to have us pay the bill, just to have her comp it and keep the money. 2 waters OJ 1 patty melt with mash pot $20 !!!!!! Redickulous!! $23 total w/ tip If you don't want under mediocre food, do not eat here. You will be leaving starving, nauseas, and a hole in...
