I initially started taking classes here because of my burn out from my weightlifting routine at the regular gym. I received the first three free classes which anyone can get through their website!
I decided after the first three classes I would then move forward with the unlimited monthly membership if I was enjoying it. Since then I have gone to class at least four times a week. All of the instructors have been very warm and welcoming and have quickly learned my name. It has been a very safe space for me and something that I look forward to every day. So far I have taken the Powerflow Vinyasa classes and the recovery restore classes. I decided I would do yoga sculpt once I have a better hang of things. I have only ever intermittently taken a yoga class once or twice a year so I am very much a beginner. It has greatly improved my mental health and I really enjoy the meditative aspect of yoga, the mind-body connection is so important!
The instructors have been friendly and the locker area has plenty of space. The room itself is very inviting and there is also a filtered water station and a bathroom for use. You can rent mats or towels as needed, and signing up is very simple. There has been no issue with me signing up for class the same day or hours before in case you’re not sure if you want to attend a class that day. I definitely plan to keep my membership here for as...
Read moreNot my kind of place. I took 3 free intro classes and wasn't really impressed by any of them. Vinyasa Flow was something that I could have easily gotten by watching a YouTube video at home, and even then, I've enjoyed some videos more than that class; it was very generic. Sculpt mostly annoyed me, mainly because the music was blasting too loud for me to enjoy myself or even hear the teacher, so it didn't leave me feeling satisfied no matter how good the workout was. And as for the Restorative class, a lot of the movements they had us do (which seemed way too excessive for a Restorative class) were just plain uncomfortable, and the best way to modify the poses was to just not do them. I don't feel that this studio really helped me at all in my practice, and I hate leaving a yoga studio feeling dissatisfied, but I can't say I felt any better after coming here. If these are the only 3 kinds of classes there are here, I'll definitely stick to following along with YouTube videos at home. That's always free, and I can tailor that more...
Read moreI’ve been going to YogaBox for two years now, and it’s been an incredible journey. Carly, the manager and instructor, is truly amazing. Her candlelit flow classes on Fridays are an absolute must—such a perfect way to end the week.
I also love Kris’s flow on Wednesday nights; his stories add a special touch to the practice. Hailie and Ryan are fantastic instructors as well, each bringing their unique style and energy to their classes. If you’re looking for high-energy sessions, check out Britney and Jenn—they are both phenomenal!
The studio is always clean, and while it’s not as hot as other studios, you’ll definitely work up a sweat. The flows and structure are intentional, and the lighting adds a cool ambiance.
The entire YogaBox family is very inclusive and welcoming. They’re soon opening a studio in Central Phoenix, but I love the Arcadia and North Scottsdale locations. Highly recommend YogaBox for anyone looking to enhance their...
