Edit - 9/27/23 UPDATE - It had been several months since I posted my original comment below, and I made the mistake of deciding to order drinks through the drive thru at the 28th Street & Indian School Rd location again. The girl who took the order at the drive thru speaker sounded angry and/or annoyed . I asked for a ‘pup cup’ at the end of placing my ord, and she said that I need to ask for those at the window. Okay; no problem.
I had already paid ahead via the Starbucks app, so when I got to the window, they literally never opened it until the point where they handed me my order. I sat there not being acknowledged for 3-4 minutes. The girl who did open the window had the name “Lindsee” on her apron. I asked her for a ‘pup cup’ as she was handing me the order, and she seemed extremely annoyed by that (because she rolled her eyes and immediately closed the window when she went to go grab it). A few minutes later, she handed it over and went back into the store while immediately closing the window again. I wasn’t able to hand her a tip or wave her down, because she walked away from the window as soon as the window had closed. I also didn’t want to hold up the cars behind me, because at least 2 of the cars behind me had been in line at least as long as I had.
It was just extremely rude the way the staff acted, and I can’t think of what I or we could have possibly done to be treated that way... We went through the drive thru about 30 minutes prior to their closing time, so it is not like we showed up right at closing, and it’s not like we were the only vehicle in line… just cemented my desire to never patronize this location again.
Original Comment: This location is the worst. Not only do they close early nearly every night, but this is the third time this week that I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha and they forgot to put the flavored syrup in. I can’t tell you how disappointing it is to have one or all of the nearly $7.00 drinks you buy end up being essentially coffee flavored milk. I can do that at home for free.
I go to this location because it’s right by my home, but it’s honestly worth it to drive to the 32nd Street and Thomas location because this location sucks so bad. I’ve come here 20-30 minutes before closing and they frequently have the lobby and drive thru closed, and when you call to complain, they say they’re short-staffed and don’t want to be stuck there all night. So unprofessional (and actually pretty stupid because they’re losing out on a lot of money — the 24 hour Starbucks on 91st ave & Glendale are always slammed, even at 1am). I’d understand that excuse every once in a while, but since they close early EVERY night, I think it’s just a lazy manager or something like that.
After this last screw up, I’m officially done with this location and I’m only going to use the Thomas one. This particular Starbucks doesn’t deserve another...

I proceeded to the window where the gentleman just barked a total at me I wanted to Utilize the remainder of a gift card he let me know how eight dollars on it and then requested another $12 from me to complete the transaction. I proceeded to give him a debit card and ask for a receipt. He then gave me egg bites. I informed him this was not my order and wanted to make sure I was charged correctly. He then slamee the window in my face and got two other girls to the window to stare and look at me as if I had done something incorrect. They attempted to give me an apple oat milk drink when I ordered a brown sugar and were upset that because I do not eat meat or any type of animal byproduct that I would not accept the eggs then they threw a cold croissant at me. Checking to make sure that my order was charged appropriately they issued me a dollar refund. I can’t help but think that has a woman of color, This treatment was intentional. It’s disgusting that we still have to deal with issues of mistreatment and discrimination at a COFFEE SHOP when all we want to do is get a morning coffee before out workday. Why didn’t he repeat my order to me before he charged me for it? Verifying that he had the right order? Why would they not issue me a refund for the entire transaction and re-ring it? Why not void the transaction you Rang incorrectly, placing the money back on the gift card ? Why was I treated differently than any other customer ??

The method of communication when i left a review this is just another corporate tactic to feel as if you acknowledged how i was mistreated at your location. Read moreI’ve been coming to this Starbucks for years because of the short distance between my home. Lately I have been ordering my drinks online so that I am able to quickly pick them up and head to work in the mornings and that has been working pretty well until these past few purchases the wait time on the drinks have become longer and longer even though it says that the time for the drinks will take 6-8 minutes which I have no problem with since I leave a bit earlier for just in case. So my most recent experience happened on 7/26 which I ordered a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frappuccino and an Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte at 6:22am so I wait about 5 minutes before I leave to pick up my drinks since the location is about a minute or 2 away from where I live, I get there and the Frappuccino was ready and all I had to do was wait for the Latte (within that time a few baristas passed by me and put it other online orders and mine still wasn’t ready) so I waited for about 20 minutes before I went up to the register and told the barista what my situation was she then re-ordered the drink, apologized for the wait and it was made in less than 5 minutes... my Frappuccino had already melted by then. I then left the Starbucks and continued on my route to work which I had then been late to due to the long wait. I am really upset because while waiting no one had asked me if I needed anything else which was a surprise since I was sitting at the bar right there were the orders are place when they’re ready.
