Bear Tracks Cabins — Local services in Pigeon Forge

We stayed at the BearTracks BLACK BEAR VIEW. The front door was ridiculously hard to open. I first called Matt that handles the properties his response was there was nothing he could do if I couldn’t get into the cabin. I asked if there were any other cabins that he could put me in if I couldn’t get in and he replied with no. He called the owner and wow what an experience I had to deal with from the owner of the cabin. He called and stated again if I couldn’t get in with the key then there was nothing he could do. So I responded back well if there is nothing you can do then I would like my money back. Wow did that open up a can of harsh words and yelling from the owner. He proceeded to degrade me on the phone and yell at me telling me the renter who already paid for the cabin that he did not want me to stay in his cabin even if I could get in. And proceeded to tell me he had other cabins that he was going to offer me but never started the conversation out that way and when I tried to explain that Matt told me there was no other cabins it again started yelling at me and telling me that I wasn’t talking to Matt. Now I’m tough skinned since I am a Disabled Veteran and have had to deal with a lot more stuff then this man could through at me. But after apologizing to him and explaining I did not mean any disrespect to him. After about 30 mins of trying to enter the cabin, I finally was able to open the door. “Hint if you stay here and they don’t have it fixed you have to pull the door to you and then push the door handle in and turn the key at the same time.” Which at no point could either one of the gentlemen explain to me how to get in the cabin. The owner never once apologized for how he talked to me. I would never recommended this place or any other cabins through this company to my worse enemy. I truly hope no one has to deal with owners like this and they should be ripped of their ability to deal with the public. Hope this helped make your decision to go with another...

Avoid Baby Bear Hideaway Cabin at all costs!!!

Baby Bear Hideaway cabin was disgustingly filthy! Arriving at the cabin as we walked up to it we could immediately see the patio and picnic table were covered in mold and the porch was dirty and the grass outside looked like it had been bush hogged to 7 inches.

The inside of the cabin looked like it hadn't been painted in years as there were watermarks on the walls and ceilings, and the walls had gouges throughout. There was a balled up comforter in the closet that had something on it that looked like baby burp. The towels they had for use were old and discolored and the shower was dirty. The bathroom had nail clippings and hair from previous guests. We wound up buying our own towels.

The coffee make looked like it had been around for decades and never been cleaned. I scrubbed the carafe for about 30 minuets before I could see the bottom, and cleaned the tank several times before the water would drip without brown sediment.

When I booked this cabin, it was about the only one I could find at the time. After staying here, I know why it was available. I've been deployed to Afghanistan and stayed in better accommodations. This is not a review of the Bear Tracks Cabin agency, but this particular cabin. I would avoid this one...

Let me start by saying we had a wonderful vacation, AFTER we had to clean the cabin & wash our bed sheets. We requested an early check-in which meant someone had to come and do an "inspection " before we could enter. That being said, there were dirty dishes in the cabinets, sticky something all over the couch, something growing in the icecube trays, some kind of feces on the corn hole boards (which were INSIDE), and pizza slices stuck in the couch.... we ended up having to clean before we could start our vacation. All the windows were boarded up and there is only one exit in or out of the cabin and exposed wires in the basement. Had to unplug a lamp because every time we would plug something else up it would flicker and the outlet would buzz... we tried to not let this ruin our vacation but I decided to contact managmen. Sent 2 separate emails and when I finally got a call back, I expressed my concerns and I was told that my call was pointless and met with a defensive attitude.... do not stay her.... do not ruin your vacation.......
