I visited this Waffle House on a family to Tennessee. The four stars is for the overall experience. The food was really a three stars. There was nothing exceptional or impressive about it. The ambiance is modern. So if you are looking for the old Waffle House feel, this is not the place to go. Now the service is great.
First of all the waiting line moves really fast. Ashley was our server. The reason I remember her name is because her name is upside down on her name tag. She was delightful. I had specific chosen to come here for the steak and eggs outside of the waffles and slightly let down when I did not see it on the menu. When Ashley approached us and asked us if we had been to a Waffle House before we said yes and asked us if we wanted her to go through her shpeal, we said yes. I am happy we said yes because she told of the items that were not on the menu. And yes the steak and eggs were there. Even though it was not the most amazing steak and eggs I have had, it was exactly what I wanted and I was satisfied. The service was quick. Ashley had a great sense of humor. I really liked how the whole kitchen worked together. It is really impressive. That is one of the things I really like about waffle houses is how the kitchen is right there in front of you. I will always pick a place where I can see the kitchen. It was a fantastic experience overall. The price is also worth it.

Read moreImmediately upon entering, my boyfriend and I received a warm southern welcome. The people in Tennessee are so very friendly. We were promptly seated. My server was extremely friendly and attentive. She gave us great tips when it came to the area. Waffle House Pigeon Forge is not real big. There are some booths for seating and some counter seating. You can see all the food being made behind the counter. My server brought me a Fresh Hot Cup of Coffee and a Water with Lemon. My bf ordered an Ice Tea. For our breakfast we both ordered A WAFFLE With SIDE MEAT- 2 Eggs over easy with Toast & Jelly; I chose Grits and a Waffle with 2 sausage patties. My bf ordered the same thing except he chose their Smithfield Ham. Everything was delicious especially their waffles which are a must. They were light and fluffy and had a wonderful taste to it. A cute touch was the Waffle House emblem on the Waffle. I also enjoyed their grits which came with lots of butter, what a treat for a northern girl. We both really enjoy our breakfast. ( it is a lot of food.) I chose to eat a little of everything. They have plenty of free parking in their lot along with some handicapped parking. This place is wheelchair accessible.Waffle House is open 24 hours.Their prices are reasonable. If you get a chance to experience a Waffle House I highly...
Read moreWhitney was horrible. The entire experience was not good but overall, our server made our bad experience one of the worst ones yet. I ordered a basic patty melt, nothing special: just how the menu states it. It was wrong, missing the onions altogether and when I asked her about it, she brought me a plate of onions and laughed it off. Fine, this was fine. Then she brought my partners food out without bacon, which was simply included in the meal he ordered (again, absolutely nothing special) and when we finally found her to tell her, she asked us why we didn’t tell her sooner. She literally was in the back room, out of sight for the majority of this experience. She then brought out his bacon, cold and gross. She took the card for payment and when she brought it back, this is the worst part, quite literally hovered over us as we were writing in her tip amount. This was absurd. Typically, we are pretty solid tippers but after the experience, and the fact that she might as well have written the tip in herself, we went for about 15% and even now, I think that was a little too generous. She took the receipt, shook her head, and never acknowledged us after the fact despite us asking for to-go containers prior to filling in the tip. Overall, it was bad experience, but the worst part was...
