Even though our hotel room and everything was good we did have a weird experience here. The hotel itself is really nice. We stayed at the hotel that was across the river not on the front side. Our room was in good condition when we came in and everything was nice. However, we did have some weird things happen in our hotel room. After we got checked in and into the room we stayed for a couple of hours or so without any issues. Then we left the room to go out and turned all the lights off. We left and came back and lights were on in the room. At first we brushed it off and went on about our evening bc we figured we may have just forgotten some lights even though we were pretty sure all the lights were off. Our room did have two beds on opposite sides of the room and we only stayed on one bed. The other we never laid on or anything bc it was just two of us. However, after we slept and woke up in the morning I went to go use the bathroom and I noticed the rolling chair from the other side of the room was moved to the very edge/end of the bed and the chair was rolled around facing the side of the room we were sleeping at. We had never moved this chair. Then I got suspicious and walked to the other side of the room to find the pillows on the bed were all messed up. Two were on the floor on the opposite side of the bed closest to the wall and the other 3 on the bed were arranged in weird ways. This is when we really got concerned and were ready to leave. I know this sounds crazy which is why we doubted the lights thing at first but after the second time we weren’t so hesitant anymore. We left and talked to the hotel staff and it was apparent they werent taking the concern seriously. When my boyfriend said something and asked them if anything has ever happened in that room before they lied saying nothing happened. Then when he talked to the manager they were a little bit more open and said that there had been a few times were people left bc they claimed a ghost was in the room. I know these things are reasonably suspicious but we were also suspicious at first. We thought maybe we were just forgetting things until we woke up in the morning with things rearranged on the other end of the room. My boyfriend also had a nightmare that night about a ghost in the form of a little girl. One of the maids tried to say that maybe we brought something in with us but we both don’t mess with anything that could possibly cause it. Then they started saying well maybe we had sleepwalked but I am a really light sleeper and we both have never done that before in our lives. It felt like our concerns were just brushed off. We stayed in room 438 in the rivers landing bulding across the river. So if you are uncomfortable with things of this nature i would suggest to room in the red bulding in front of the river. We have stayed in the red bulding before with no problems...

After narrowing down three hotels in the area we decided on Creekstone due to the reviews. We stayed for six nights in a King/Queen suite which had a separate king bedroom, along with the queen, bathroom and couch in the other area. For what I booked I expected a larger room but it was tiny when you think of a suite setup.

Cons: there is NO storage in this room aside from three small drawers and four hangers. There was so much room against the fridge setup/under the TV, and where they put a small table by the bed, to put a dresser. We lived out of suitcases and clothes on tables for a week.

No table to eat at. Standard rooms have a table and chairs. Nothing here. We had to eat on the balcony with the one small outdoor table.

Cleanliness is not the strong suit here. There was some sticky substance by our bed, curtains were stained, dirt in the bathroom with dripping walls, and what looked like mold on the ceiling. Housekeeping came once during our stay to make one bed (didn’t touch the other two). They emptied the trash and gave clean towels daily, at least.

There were parts of the wall with missing paint, doors were broken on the bottom. Our AC was missing a filter. When we asked housekeeping she said that they don’t have any to fix it with.

The bathroom is TINY! The only room is enough for a door to open and close.

Pros: location. It’s right in the river and very relaxing. The back road it’s on is great to beat traffic to the Island area, or Dollywood. Each room overlooks the river. We fed the ducks multiple times each day which my kids loved.

Parking is free and covered. The spots are right though. And if you come late, you’ll be stuck parallel parking between two pillars or under the main parking level where the geese congregate.

While we don’t use the tubes in the river we saw a lot of people use them. They can be signed out at the front desk by leaving your ID. We used the pool once. It was nice after a hot day but nothing was spectacular about it.

Free breakfast was nice. I wish they rotated items though because it was the same thing every day. We went three times during our stay, and spent the other days out...

June 30th-july 7th Out of towner Room 1312 and 1313

The front staff is friendly. We had two rooms. And when one room wasn't the way we needed it to be. They were able to move both our rooms to a different floor and keep us side by side. The breakfast is ok as part of your room. It is all you can eat from i think 7am-10am. But the grits did not taste good. And the juice was water down. The potatoes were ok. I did like the sausage gravy and biscuits. If you decide to go Tubing. Make sure you have gone Tubing before. Lol this should not be your 1st experience like it was for me. It led to disastrous results lol. And you are kind of in the center of things so easy to find other things. And you are directly across from an arcade and go carts. The room itself is the typical older establishment. So you can tell where things have been patched up. You do get a balcony and thats nice. The pool is also nice. Both elevators move very slowly. The ice maker is only on the 2nd floor and 4th floor. Feel like they should have an ice maker on each floor. The water pressure is good for the toilet, sink, and shower. I love how hot the water gets. It's even hotter than my water at home. You get a microwave and refrigerator. I couldn't figure out the safe to use it. The air conditioner does throw off a weird smell when it 1st comes on. It does go away eventually.but it did stay for my mom room 1312. Enough that my daughter couldn't deal with the smell so they kept theirs off. I did not smell anything when i went in there. And the floor in that room always felt damp no matter the time. You get 2 tvs in the room if you don't get a room with a single bed. And the housekeepers are always around for fresh towels throughout the day. There are spiderwebs and there is alot of duck/geese/bird poop around but you are in nature so its expected. You may smell weed off and on as well. Oh yeah and i didnt see any bedbugs. So thats definitely a plus. There is no laundry mat for the residents. So you will have to find somewhere to wash your clothes. I recommend Gonzales laundromat. I would...

This is a good place if you like tubing down the creek, they have an outdoor pool but no other water amenities, no fitness center, no laundry facility. Breakfast was blah, consisting of “very” scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a broken pancake machine. Two ladies serving your food which no one needs. No original half-and-half for coffee just the sweet syrupy flavored ones. Clean room, but super tiny bathroom. Nice balcony with rocking chairs overlooking the creek but EVERY time I went out on it I was gagged by nearby cigarette smoke from other guests smoking on their balconies. Unless you plan to just use the room for sleeping bring food to feed the ducks from your balcony, that is about the only fun at this place. Does have a safe in room and good Wi-Fi. Room key deactivated twice in a two night stay which is a huge pet peeve of mine especially when the office is across the street! Hotels seriously need to come up with a better idea for room keys. They have the worst type of baggage carts causing me to make more than one trip to get my belongings to the room, the kind that don’t have anywhere to hang bags.

This is a great place to stay. My Family has stayed here a few times in the past years ( July 2009, August 2014, December 2014, and October 2017). Every time we stay here the staff has been wonderful with any questions or concerns we have. They are located directly on the little pigeon river and all balconies over look it. they have offered in the past a decent continental breakfast in one of their rooms on the 2nd floor. I believe now they have their new breakfast buffet open which is supposed to offer a full breakfast option. The hotel is located right behind the new "the Track" which makes taking small children to the rides and arcade very easy. The pool is located next to the main office and has always been clean. The only issues we have ever had was the elevator moves very slowly which is only an issue if you have small children or lots of luggage, we were able to just use the stairs and the amount of Duck feces that builds up on the lower parking level, the staff has been very helpful in cleaning that area quickly as well. I would recommend this hotel.
