Smoky Mountain Pancake House — Restaurant in Pigeon Forge

I never complain even if I dislike the food at a restaurant but me, my wife and 2 little girls all equally agreed that each of our individual meals were awful, each in a different way. I got the mixed berry pancakes and it was supposed to have blueberries, blackberries and strawberries on top of my pancakes with powdered sugar. They had blueberries and strawberries but no blackberries at all. The blueberries were so bitter that they made the pancakes taste so bad and the pancakes didn't even have the greatest taste either without this issue. The powdered sugar they put on top was literally 3 tiny white dots on the top pancake, it wasn't even enough to taste whatsoever. My pancakes were very bitter and bland. My little girls each had a different complaint about their kids plate not tasting very good. My wife got the banana nut pancakes and her pancakes were dark brown in color and nearly burned with the same amount of powdered sugar that I got. She couldn't eat half of her pancakes because the taste just wasn't good. We waited around 40 minutes on our table on the Sunday morning that we went around 11:00 am. As many people that there was eating at this place, I was thinking it was going to be really good but my expectations weren't met by any means after waiting all that time. Our older lady waitress was somewhat rude as well and didn't have a very friendly attitude. I paid a total of $60 for food that we were barely able to eat because of just how bad everything tasted. We didn't make a complaint or anything at the restaurant because like I said, I'm not one to complain about things but this place wasn't that great in my opinion. I don't think I'll ever go back to this place. There are plenty of other pancake houses in Pigeon Forge that is way better than this place, take my word for it and look for the others to eat...

July 2025 3.5 / 4☆ Usually we eat here at least 3 times while on vacation for breakfast. Something has changed. Maybe it was timing. The waiter had a careless demeanor. The food was ok but not as good compared to previous years. Been coming here awhile.... was ok but not the experience we are used to. Hope it was timing. Will try one more time next year. October 2022. 5☆Busy place. Short wait time 15 mins. Friendly people. When you get seated, they take care of you. Server was good, attentive, and fast. The country ham is real, folks! Everything was really good. Past reviews are still valid.

June 2019 5 is still a great place for breakfast.. reviews from the past still stand. Family of 4 about $50.00. Friendly service and great service. Pics posted.

July 2016. 5☆Been comming here for 40yrs. Menu has changed a little. They have good breakfast choices that are hot and tasty. The waiters are nice and try to be attentive. There can be a wait at times to get seated and for your food to come out but it's to be expected as its a good place to eat and...

I would give 0 stars if possible. We waited over an hour just to be seated. Once we were seated it was 15 minutes before our orders were taken. When the waiter brought our food out about 30 minutes later they forgot 4 peoples meals. EVERY person in our group got cold food despite having waited almost 2 hours just to receive it. 3 of the 4 missing meals were brought out after about 10 minutes along with some other groups orders. Our were mixed in with theirs and we were STILL missing one that we didn’t get for another 30 minutes. We had to ask repeatedly just to get butter for our cold pancakes, orders were made wrong (sausage when we ordered bacon), and parts were even forgotten (the sour cream and salsa that was supposed to go with my omelet). The service in the place was just downright horrible. When our checks finally made it to us they were all just a mess and nobodys was correct. Only plus side was after telling the cashier about our visit he did not ask us to pay for the meal that took an hour to get to the member of our group that ordered it. I would absolutely NOT recfoemd eating here. In the 3 hours we spent in the place I can’t say anything...
