I have talked to the owner of this bike shop twice, and each time the experience was negative. He is rude, and each time I talk to him, he sounds rude and condescending. He will talk over you, and want to explain everything just for 10 or 20 dollar part. My thing is you either have it or you don't. I don't need a lecture just to tell me you don't have it. If you need a ebike repaired there he will go on and on, why you should have bought one of his, and not buy the cheap ones online. Like I said again either you can fix it or you cant. Now I take my ebikes to Atlanta for repairs. You drop it off, they tell you what's wrong and if they can fix it they will give you a price. I have to drive over 100 miles just to get good ebike service from Harris County GA. I am not saying he can't fix it. I am saying he either don't want to fix it, and want you to buy one of his ebikes. The rude behavior on the other hand, I am having a hard time understand, being a previous owner of different businesses. I am retired now. I will never recommend this shop to anyone. The shop is in a great location. It's to bad I can get my ebikes service in the area. The lady who works there is very nice. Everything is good until the owner...
Read moreWow! I just can't say "Wow!" enough about this place.
My girlfriend and I hauled our bikes from Panama City to Pine Mountain to stay a couple of days and ride the Man O' War trail. While taking my bike off the rack, I noticed an unrepairable blowout on my front tire - I needed a new tire and tube. I noticed the shop had already been closed for 30 minutes, but I decided to call anyway. John, the owner, answered. I explained my situation and he said he'll meet me at his shop in 30 minutes, after he finishes his dinner. I showed up at Chipley cycle and 30 minutes after John and I had talked, he showed up. John then put on two new tires and tubes that I paid for after the service.
I find it amazing that John took the time out of his free time to take care of my issue - just amazing!
After my service was completed, John allowed me to test ride one of his ebikes. Again, John did this after his shop was closed!
I'll be back in Pine Mountain, GA, for more bike riding and if the size of my test ride bike is in stock, I'm buying it from...
Read moreWonderful people and top-notch service. Dawn greeted me on the sidewalk and asked what they could do for me. I needed 2 tires for my cruiser. I now have 2 tires, a group of people to cycle with, and a new mountain bike.
I kept my cruiser, John repaired it after a mishap, and it's good as new. The new bike is for mountain biking and gravel riding with the Chipley Casual Riders, a group led by John and Dawn.
I had never ridden with a group and never thought I'd enjoy it, but Chipley Casual Cyclers had welcomed me into their group, and I'm learning to improve my ride.
I can't say enough good things about this shop and their cycling community. Join us for weekly rides.
