I can’t recommend Heather and Funcy Decor enough! Not only is she an absolute delight to work with, she truly helps bring your vision and space to life. We started working with Heather shortly after moving into our home. The house was built in the early 2000s, so while it had great bones, it needed a glow up and a makeover to fit our style. I had some ideas of what I was envisioning, but find decorating very intimidating and exhausting. When there are so many different light fixtures, paint colors, decorations, contractors, etc. to pick from, I get decision paralysis. My husband and I also both work and have 2 young kids - so finding the time to research everything was really hard. So we hired Heather to update our office, lighting, main stairwell, living room (creating an accent wall and redoing the fireplace) and powder room - and it was the best decision we made! She made everything so easy - talked with us to understand our style and vision, created an easy to follow PowerPoint with a style board, options and links to purchase. And if we wanted to go another direction on some recommendations, she was accommodating and shared alternate options. I also loved that Heather was able to use many of our own pieces to decorate the final look and then mix in new items from different stores (mixing up high end items and items from target/home goods), really taking budget into consideration while not compromising the end result.

Heather from Funcy Decor is AMAZING!! She has this wonderful ability to transform a space to something both magazine worthy as well as livable. In addition to that, Heather incorporates things you enjoy into the design, so not only does it look fabulous, is functional, but it is also a space you love living in! She really listens to what you like and includes elements of that in the design. For example, Heather knew I loved dishes I got from my gram - so her design kept those centerstage without being overpowering and the end result was just perfect. Heather's design expertise created a space that looks elegant and classic, and also a space that when I go in, I think of my gram and it just makes me happy. Funcy Decor turned my living room from just so-so to a space that I am so proud to show off! Heather really listened to what I was thinking and took it to the next level with just a few new items. I feel that she really considered my ideas and took them to a level I couldn't imagine I'd ever get too (and I couldn't without her talent). Working with Heather was an all-around wonderful experience. With a quick virtual consultation she identified the style we were looking for and provided us with a few alternative mood boards to fill our new space within our budget. Not only did she simplify the overwhelming process of curating a cohesive look across a few rooms of our space, but she provided all the information we needed to easily order all of the furniture and decorative items we needed. In a few weeks we went from a nearly blank slate to a place that feels like home! Once our space was nearly complete, Heather also helped us quickly fill in a few small gaps that were outside our original scope. From my experience, I can recommend working with Funcy Decor for any size project, and while we targeted a style somewhere between modern industrial and contemporary, it was apparent that Heather's breadth of knowledge and taste would lend itself to any project.
