I love JB Effects!

JB Effects created a DVD for a Celebration of Life in memory of my nephew who passed at a very young age. The unexpected loss left the family and close friends grieving deeply. To help the healing process, our family decided to have a Celebration of Life several months after his passing.

We gathered special photos of my nephew, as well as several songs from various artists and delivered it to JB Effects. We didn’t provide any guidance on how to place the photos or music within the DVD. Upon picking up the DVD’s we instantly noticed that the thoughtful selection of a specific photo of our nephew was placed on the cover of the DVD. We were amazed at their natural instinct to select the best of all of the photos.

During the celebration, our loved ones gathered together to watch the DVD. We were astonished by the experience. Not only was the quality of the photos and clarity of music outstanding, but the photos and music were so carefully placed, creating the most beautiful display of memories. As the DVD played, we knew instantly that people were starting to heal. It was an amazing celebration, and everyone commented on the closure they were feeling following the end of the DVD. JB Effects doesn’t just provide quality service with outstanding technical competence, they provide a service to humanity that is beyond what most companies think is possible.

I can't speak to his other services, but unless you're a Little League or some other organization that's ok with cheap looking shirts, do not buy t-shirts from him.

I ordered shirts for my literary arts nonprofit to sell at a holiday market and the quality was awful. I had planned to sell them and make a little bit of money for our programming, but they looked so cheap that I could barely give them away.

The design also started peeling the first day I wore one that I was testing out, and the ones I put on display also started peeling just simply hanging up.

He offered to put them through the heat again, but there wasn't time to do that with the Thanksgiving holiday and since it was just two days before the event they were ordered for.

Then, I didn't hear from him again for nearly a week, despite sending several emails.

He does not seem open to offering a partial refund for the shirts, which are now giveaways at this point. The $150 we spent on them could go a long way for our organization - rent for our incubator space, a stipend for a writer or performer, a fee to participate in a community event.

And to offer some perspective. We had another order of shirts come in from a different company at the same time. For the same price, we got four additional shirts, they are incredibly soft and very good quality, and the print job is amazing. We have no concerns about the print...

Dropped of a box of DVD & VHS. He said he’d transfer everything no matter if it was a tv show or not bc “who would care about 1 copy”. Didn’t hear anything for eight weeks so I called and he said his newly hired assistant was just finishing everything up and I should get a call in a couple days. Two more weeks went by and I still didn’t hear anything so I called again and he said they never even started transferring any of my stuff yet. 12 weeks after dropping off items I finally got a call saying my order was done. I went to pick it up and none of the VHS stuff had been transferred yet it was still over $900 dollars. I asked if there would be a discount for taking 12 weeks and for being told that it was almost finished two weeks prior when it really wasn’t, and the answer was absolutely not. The owner lied to me about my order as well as what they’d transfer. I give it less than one out of five stars if I could. Horrible customer service - between being lied to & the delay I thought people should know how this business operates.
